This is a classic Dye course, challenging, but fun all around. The terraced entry to greens marked with moguls and bunkers makes it a classic Dye course. The addition of spectacular views to the ocean makes is a picturesque delight. I played this course on July 1st with my son and we had a wonderful experience. I'd like to single out Thom Gilfoil, Director of Golf Operations, as one of the reasons we had such a great time. Thom personally discussed the course with us and then drove with us to the practice range telling us where and when the new pro shop would be constructed. Thom helped pick out our clubs and while we were on the range we mentioned that we'd like a couple more wedges and I'd like to try a different driver. Thom went back to the Beach & Golf Club and met us on the first tee with the extra clubs. Thom couldn't have been nicer talking to us about the course. We had a good round shooting just above our handicaps (16) but this was understandable being a Dye course and our first time playing it. The course was in great shape and the greens ran true. The views, especially standing on the signature 11th island green hole, were amazing. We can't wait for our next trip to Roatan to play the Black Pearl again. Worth the price and worth going to play and see the spectacular Pristine Bay Resort. A lot of the resort is still a work in progress, however when complete, it will have no equal. Highly recommend a trip here!
