“Just avoid the pricey restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

The hotel is just on the sea, and our room has a lovely view. The room is nice (nothing luxury) and the hotel is in the town "centre".

The restaurant in the hotel is really expensive both for breakfast and for dinner, so just avoid it and luckily there is plenty of choice in walking distance.

The only place to in Livingston if you'll be there for more than 1 night. Place is expensive for the market, but you have a beautful place to call home in case it rains, which it does with great frequency in Dec- Jan.

Set with an amazing view over the bay, this hotel has amenable staff, spacious rooms (with efficient AC) and a great pool area (the pool is a good size, at least 20 metres). We were going to stay two nights but ended up staying for four! The only downside was the food - breakfast was a luke warm buffet and the other food was overpriced and mediocre. This is not a reason not to stay here - stay here, enjoy the pool but then eat at Casa de Rosada and Don's Pizza!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was friendly and the pool was really nice. We were in Livingston for 4 nights, and I don't think we could have handled it if we didn't have the awesome pool to chill out in, away from the hustlers and strange smells. The view from our 2nd floor balcony was really nice. It is quite expensive.

The restaurant leaves something to be desired. Also realize that some of the rooms have strange little spiral staircases leading up to them. If you can't lug your stuff up a spiral staircase, make sure you are on the bottom floor (but you'll miss out on the view).

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My room was simple but clean and with a lovely view of the sea. However, I could hear the guests upstairs as they moved chairs, took showers etc.

The restaurant serves good seafood and there is good Garifuna entertainment if there are groups in the hotel. Breakfast is disappointing, largely because the food is not kept warm.

This hotel is surely not a 4* Hotel.I think I would give +2*.We stayed here with a group begin November, The sheets on our bed was dirty and had a big yellow spot (???), on it.The airco was VERY noisy. In the reception the lady only understood Spanish and the manager was surely not friendly. .The food was not warm and little choice.
The only thing that I positive from this Hotel is the location.

My family and I travelled to Livingston in early July and had no other plans to stay anywhere else other than the Villa Caribe.
As always, we received nothing but the best services from check-in to the last minute of our stay. Hats off to Manfred, who ensured that our stay and that of other visiting family members was nothing but the best.

Room Tip: The cabanas are the best and most comfortable. Wish they would add some real king or queen beds to t...
