Lake Atitlán's volcanos show themselves best in the am (about 6:00 when we were there). The view from the patio as night turns to dawn is excellent; later in the morning and day we couldn't see the volcanos at all for mist and cloud. Standard rooms just fine though dark because of vine covered walkways. Supposed to be eco-conscious in refilling water bottles; never happened, and we were always charged for water. Pool nice! But the water slide and towels were evidently only available for Spanish speaking guests and children's classes. We were not given any perks. Restaurant was better than most hotel dining. Nobody serves decaffeinated coffee and cups were the typical tiny portions.
