Having lived in Guatemala for a couple of years, I really appreciate this place in Pana. Great location - right on Calle Santander, the main street in Pana. The grounds and rooms are clean and the people that work there are friendly.

This hotel is terrific on every level. An oasis of calm positioned right in the middle of the main street, Calle Santander, it has an Italian restaurant ... and then opens up into a very quiet, spacious property behind walls that block out the noise! Room was very nice, with a good bed and attractive furnishings, and each room has a comfy chair and end table outside the door, so you can be sociable with your neighbors.

Good staff very willing to help with directions, suggestions and carrying heavy bags. The day I checked out, they let me keep my car parked in their secure lot while I toured the Lake all day, which I really appreciated. Main gates are locked at night, for a reassuring sense of security. The shaded pool area is very nice, with the rooms around it in a U shape. The breakfast in the restaurant was fine and included in the price. Approximately $35 for a single night, which is a stunning value considering the central location, helpful staff, attractive rooms and grounds.

I will be back the next time I'm in Panajachel, but I'll be sure to book in advance -- I had wanted to stay an extra night, but couldn't because a group was taking over the whole place!

Stayed at this hotel in early November 2005 for 2 nights. The location is great - along Calle Santander and within a few blocks of the Lake. The hotel was beautiful and we had a nice room just across from the pool. The rooms were very large and clean. Room rates include breakfast at the cute restaurant by the pool. The hotel staff assisted us in making travel plans while we were in Panajachel and for transportation back to Guatemala City.
