Description: Traditional and gourmet Guatemalan food set on a large "palapa"style architecture. Upscale traditional decoration, local music and waiters with typical outfits; great for turists, out of town clients, families and local foodies. A wonderful Guatemalan experience right in the center of the Hotel zone.

“Ethnic, but not fantastic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Friends suggested this restaurant in Guatemala City, and Trip Advisor reviewers seemed to indicate that the food was good despite the touristy ambience. We enjoyed the traditional dress of the waiters and the indigenous ambience, but found the food only so-so. We shared the ceviche, and it was good, although a little sweeter than we're used to, and some of the fish seemed to be a little 'ripe'. My companion had the lobster, which was somewhat overcooked, salty, and far from the best lobster we've had. I had the royal concoction - poultry and pork stewed in a tomato-based sauce with an interesting flavor. Overall though, I'm glad I'm a regular citizen instead of a king, if that's what they ate! Overall, fun ambience, but the food wasn't worth the time or the price.

“Love this restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

Great food, awesome ambience with the little waterfall and trickling water, total "tropic" vibe...like you're eating in a palapa. The night we were there a couple different bands came in to play, a magician travelling thru central america came to our table to amaze us, the service was great...for couples it can be very romantic or perfect for a quiet business dinner while sampling some local culture. Highly recommend!!!

“Beautiful, delicious and delightful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

We like everything about this unique restaurant! Housed in an elegant palapa, it offers authentic and well prepared Guatemalan fare, with wait staff in traditional Guatemalan traje in a really pretty atmosphere! Don't miss it!

“Touristy but okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Located in zone 10, this restaurant is definitely for tourist! While the waiters wear traditional, regional dress, the food choices are not regional but still tasty. The food was fine but not memorable. The decor was nice.
