“Overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

The best thing about this restaurant is the beautifully restored building it's in. The room is lovely and the tables are spaciously placed. However, the dining room staff is young and insufficiently trained. Service, even when you are the only customers in the place, is slow. The food was adequate, but overpriced. I'd recommend a visit to view the magnificent lobby of the building, The Windsor Hotel, then eating at a restaurant nearby where the food is tastier and the prices more in line with what you are served.

“Worth every penny!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

I bit on the high price side, but definitely worth it. Excellent "home cooking" with local flair, but prepared by culinary geniuses. The service was outstanding plus some.

Had the opportunity to dine in the restaurant as part of the evening festivities. The meal and service were good.

“New Year's Eve -- shoulda cooked at home!!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

Went to the Windsor last night -- N. Y. Eve dinner. New décor, very nice, tasteful, comfortable and stylish.

Dinner? Save your money. My wife had the bouillabaisse. Very poorly done. Lobster was tossed into the broth still frozen, and hence did not cook through. Gray and gelid. Yuucch. My pheasant (and I hunt pheasant AND cook well) was tolerable, but the grilling remnants buried the mild savory flavor of my favorite bird. The pheasant gets a C+, the boulliabaisse gets a D-.

Nice wait staff, cute and personable, but when we paid the bill it turned out they overcharged for wine we didn't drink. THEN! they insisted on adding their own tip instead of what I felt the service was worth. A hefty tariff. And although it was New Years Eve, they gave us NOT ONE SIP of champagne for our $180 dinner for two -- not even a full bottle of wine.

So, save your dough until these folks get their act together. Mediocre food, confused staff, high prices.

“Horrible restaurant”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

We have stayed at the Windsor before when the restaurant was called Amelia's and the food was excellent!! We never once left the hotel to go anywhere else to eat. When we went back again we were looking forward to eating there again. It had changed to Rosemary & Thyme. We tried it and the food was horrible and also the prices are way too high. We ended up having to go out and eat. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
