“Perfect Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2006

We had a great experience at the Americus Garden Inn. The feeling was that of a family home and was warm and inviting. We were catered to and pampered more than any other place we've visited. The breakfast was excellent! Susan and Kim were perfect hosts and very people oriented. We highly recommend this B&B for anyone looking to get away from the fast pace and noise of everyday living and find peace and tranquility in Americus. We will definitely visit again.

Kim and Susan were very attentive and friendly during our two night stay. Americus Garden Inn is impeccably clean and maintained, the beds are the best I've slept on, food is delicious and carefully prepared. There are many historic sites to visit in the area and Kim and Susan are more than helpful with directions. Highly recommend Americus Garden Inn.

It doesn't get any better than this! We've stayed in many B&B's across the country and the Americus Garden Inn was a real treat! Our two nights in the Veranda Suite were wonderful. The bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious with a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and a lovely veranda for relaxing and morning coffee. The Innkeepers Kim and Susan were amazing, they made us feel like family and even decorated to acknowledge my husbands birthday.
The Breakfast-WOW! All I can say is that this is an experience not to be missed. Our only regret is that we only had two days.

Kim and Sue run a beautiful and historic bed and breakfast. I came across their B&B on this site and after reading the reviews I decided to call them and book a room for my parents who were coming to visit me in Americus. My parents and I were treated like good friends even after only meeting them. Kim and Sue's knowledge of the surrounding area, neighborhood, and the actual house are pretty phenomenal. The breakfast was to DIE FOR! You have to try the pecan chocolate chip scones.
If you are looking for a relaxing time with a lot of local flavor, you MUST STAY HERE!

The Americus Garden Inn B & B was a home away from home for us.

Susan and Kim, the Innkeepers, personalize your stay by looking after your physical needs as well as your entertainmet and personal needs. The beautifully decorated facilities and grounds, the comfortable clean rooms and the outstanding breakfasts are due a 5 Star rating.

We felt very comfortable and at ease with this our first B & B experience. The Innkeepers have opened up a whole new kind of traveling experience for us in the future.

Thank you to Susan & Kim at the Americus Garden Inn!!

We have just returned from our weekend stay at the Americus Garden Inn in Americus, Georgia. We drove from Minneapolis, MN to Americus to move our daughter to her new home. After 2 days of cross country travel, with 12 hour days of driving, we were ready to collapse. We arrived at the Americus Garden Inn and were immediately welcomed by the hosts and Inn owners, Kim and Susan. Their warm and welcoming demeanor was a pleasant surprise. They gave us a brief tour of their historic, antebellum mansion and we were in awe of the beauty and historic preservation. To our delight, the Inn, with its historic elegance is not intimidating or cold. To the contrary, the Inn is inviting and homey. We felt very comfortable strolling the lovely gardens and picking pecans. Our room, the Library, with its king size bed and elegant bedding was so inviting. The victorian fireplace has been converted to sink and we enjoyed movies in our room from the extensive video library. The breakfasts can only be described as gormet and are made from scratch by Susan, who painstakingly researches all of her recipes and generously shares them with her guests! Kim and Susan assure that all of their guests are comfortable and they go well beyond expecations in sharing information, resources and their time.
For us there is no doubt we will return. The comfort, knowledge of the area, friendliness, and historic elegance are the main draws. We give our highest rating to the Americus Garden Inn. Well worth the drive to this historic, small southern community.

Our two young adult children accompanied us on this wonderful weekend to hear Jimmy Carter teach Sunday School in nearby Americus. Susan and Kim went out of their way to make sure our every need was met! The rooms were unusually large and beautifully decorated. Her breakfast was fantastic and they helped us plan our whole weekend. Will definitely be back!
