“Beyond our expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had high expectations from the web site and the enthusiastic reviews. Our experience exceeded our expectations. The Inn has true antebellum charm and the Innkeepers are warm and welcoming doing everything possible to make our stay at their Inn and in Americus memorable. They even helped us navigate our visit to Plains. Hope we have an opportunity to come again.

Room Tip: We loved "Scarlet"

We chose to stay in Americus as it was a convenient stopover on our trip through Georgia, but we soon got caught up in Susan's wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for the area and it's history. The house and our bedroom (Scarlett) have been lovingly restored, and the hosts attention to detail have provided everything guests could possibly need. Some quirky touches made it feel like a home instead of a museum. The breakfasts were delicious, imaginative and beautifully presented. It was definitely the most memorable place of our trip.

We were in Americus to visit the National Historic Sites at Andersonville and Plains.

We couldn't have picked a better plece to stay. Kim & Susan were the ultimate hosts. The breakfasts that Susan made were creative and delicious with inovative presentations. Kim was on duty to provide directions, dinner recomendations, and local information. Don't miss the car tour of the local historic homes that Kim has a map for. There a number of beautiful homes in town of which the Garden Inn is one.

The Veranda and the Library rooms were convenient and comfortable.

If you are in the area don't miss this Southern Gem.

I stayed here for a night during the Valentine's Day weekend, and we loved it! The grounds were beautiful, and the hospitality was perfect. I definitely recommend a visit because the owners Kim and Susan are extremely nice and welcoming. The jacuzzi was beautiful, the inn was quiet and cozy, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious!

As a special birthday celebration, my girl friend and I wanted to check off a bucket list item and hear former President and Nobel Prize winner Jimmy Carter teach Sunday school in Plains. After considering a stay there, I was intrigued by the Americus Garden Inn website. I called Kim and he shared a wealth of information in the area that caused me to decide on a two day stay versus the one night we were considering. It was the right choice and the right venue for a perfect girl's weekend. From the birthday banners that greeted us to the scrumptious breakfasts tailored to suit my food intolerances, it was a fabulous stay. The beautiful and relaxing atmosphere helped us unwind from the Atlanta traffic and there was plenty to see and do nearby. A perfect getaway trip from the city.

My dear girlfriend and I left our husbands at home to stay at the Americus Garden Inn in celebration of her 75th birthday. The inn was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was readily available. Susan's food was absolutely delicious. And the generous hospitality shared by Susan and her husband, Kim, made us feel right at home. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! I have stayed at many B&B's. Trust me when I say that this southern gem will provide you with a 5 star experience. I highly recommend it!

I spent a most relaxing time here. Simply perfect. Beautiful rooms. Excellent service. Wonderful garden to sit and relax. Will be back because this is different than all the other b&B. Susan was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and gave good advice.
