“Great B & B in the South”

Great experience... Kim and Susan made us feel right at home from check in to check out. The room was very nice and the bed and sheets were just wonderful. The breakfast was out of this world and Susan gave us a couple of the blueberry muffins to go. Just stayed for one night but will remedy that soon. Will definitely be back.

This was our 4th stay at the Americus Garden Inn Bed and Breakfast. Never have we been disapointed. The new landscaping is beautiful. Inside is so elegant, the rooms are spacious and the decor is very well done and comfortable. Of course the highlight of the stay is always the wonderful breakfast made by Susan. This time we had some special dietary needs. As we knew she would, she came up with great receipes that were really delicious and just what we needed. Her husband Kim is the perfect host in the morning making sure that your coffee is never empty along with enjoyable conversation.
Kim and Susan do a fantastic job of making you feel welcome and your stay perfect. We are looking forward to staying there again, soon I hope!!

After just returning from a weekend at the Americus Garden Inn, we found it to be a perfect spot for a romantic getaway. We stayed in the Scarlet Suite, a beautiful room on the second floor of this remarkable Victorian B&B. The hosts (Susan and Kim) were fantastic, taking care of every request or question that we had and so quickly! The property is lovely and it's a relaxing beautiful place to just take in the history and the romantic ambiance. We would highly recommend that you take a trip and stay at this B&B. The mornings were a delight with an amazing breakfast prepared by Susan who made sure she took my special needs into consideration. I just couldn't believe how delicious the breakfasts were. My husband and I would rate this one of our very best experiences at a B&B. Stay at the Garden Inn in Americus, You'll be so glad you did!!!! If we could rate it higher than five-stars, we would!!

This was our first stay in a B&B and it was fantastic. Kim and Susan were friendly and took the time to tell us about the history of the area. The room was beautiful and the food... well the food was superb. Susan added peanut butter specialties to the menu just because it was our favorite. We will most definitely be back. You will not be disappointed with this B&B!

Throughly enjoyable stay. We were looking for some rest and relaxation in a quiet setting. Susan and Kim are the perfect hostess/host for a B&B. The breakfasts were special and the environment warm and friendly. We walked to dinner, less than a mile away and enjoyed exploring the neighborhoods of Americus. We plan on visiting again just as soon as we can.

After a long drive, it was so nice to arrive to a warm welcome by Kim in the parking lot. After a personal tour of the ground floor with many wonderful stories about the original family, we were escorted to a magnificent room ("The Scarlett Suite") complete with portrait over the mantel. Spacious, tastefully decorated with a large attached bathroom including both a shower and a jacuzzi. Kim took a lot of time to point out eateries in the area and things to see. He also told us about the opportunity to hear former President Jimmy Carter teach an adult Sunday School lesson at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, GA, one of just a few times a year. We decided to attend and had one of the most interesting and enjoyable church experiences. Afterward, people were allowed to have their pictures taken with Mr. and Mrs. Carter so our photo has definitely become the centre of discussion among our friends.
I would be remiss not to mention Susan's outstanding breakfasts. Her menus vary every day and we were treated to huge portions which kept us going well into the afternoon. Always with healthy selections, they started with scrumptious muffins hot from the oven, then fruit followed by interesting pancakes or egg dishes with meat. My husband asked for the recipes which Susan was quite willing to share. The meals were always accompanied by Kim's attentive and friendly service. Our conversations ranged over lots of topics and on our last day we did not want to leave.
One night, we took a stroll through their gardens and enjoyed the many plantings, elegant gazebo and the lovely fishpond with its huge koi.
This is definitely a gem of a B&B. Even if you are not interested in the area, (and there are many neat things to see including the Habitat for Humanity complex), it is worth the drive to relax in this wonderful setting and be pampered by these most hospitable folks.

Found this place on TripAdvisor and it more than lived up to its reviews. Susan and Kim go overboard to make sure that you have a great time. They are very knowledgeable about the attractions in the area and will help you to plan your side trips. Their recommendations for dinner were all on target.

Breakfast began each day with muffins and ended with pancakes. Fresh fruit was also a part of the meal. Susan is an excellent cook and the food was absolutely yummy.

My favorite place was the breakfast room. Cold and hot drinks were always available with homemade biscotti and fruit. The trip was a girl's week out so my friend and I were able to spend hours getting caught up on our busy lives in a cozy atmosphere.

This was the first place on our agenda and it was a great beginning to a wonderful week.
