4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

I liked the portions, the taste & the cost. Not really a dislike, but she would accommodate more customers if she was inside a building. Eating outside is chic...eating area is right next to the road & across the street from the Texaco gas station.

“Don't let appearances fool you; this shack offers great food at great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

Joyclyn serves up fantastic local dishes, all freshly cooked in her shack located right next to the municipal dock overlooking the Gulf of Honduras. Offerings include fried fish; jerk chicken and jerk or baked pork. Dishes are served with delicious sides such a rice and beans or homemade potato salad or coleslaw, all for less than $5 US.

Customers a have the choice of sitting on the deck in front of the shack or on the two picnic tables facing the ocean.

“Joycln's is a great choice for a meal in Punta Gorda”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Right at the municipal dock with a great view over the Bay of Hunduras Joyclyn's serves authentic Belizean food for a great price that is sure to please. I eat here whenever I can when in PG for lunch. Her food is always cooked fresh and served with a smile. Definite plus that you can sit under the tropical almond in the shade and enjoy the breeze and view!

“a shack for eating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Joycelyn runs this shack, with a couple of chairs to sit on. She cooks delicious and authentic food, serves it hot and fresh for next to nothing. Right next to the jetty where you wat for boats. awesome.

“Surprize!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

The review that led me to Joyclyns was right on! She is a good cook and a very nice lady from Chicago for sure. But there were a couple of surprises that I didn’t expect. One: Real metal utensils! No plastic spoon as you might expect at a busy little establishment like this. Two: Real china! No Styrofoam containers or paper plates to eat on. ( Unless your order was to go ).
The gas station is no longer a Texaco it’s a UNO station.
The great food was no real surprise …. It was just good cooking. I had a fried fish with Cole slaw and rice/beans. While my fish was frying I grabbed a couple of Belikins from the grocery. Ample portion $4.00 US cooked to perfection. Great meal. I came back the next day to snap a picture or two and say Hi! To Joyclyn. Try it out!
