“Rumfish Rumfish so tasty..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

friends suggested this spot for dinner, above the road you can look down and watch the locals and toursists alike as they walk by while you sit with the evening breeze cooling your day. Service is very good and the bar has an eclectic flavor all its own. The food was incredible fresh flavors and many choices you could eat here several times without getting off the menu and then there are the daily specials that the chef makes up because they can get different fish or veg. Local music played in the background quietly as we enjoyed our meals. a great little place and we would go back again and again ..

“Go for the drinks”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Rum Fish offers a number of interesting "infused" drinks. For example, a gin and tonic infused with cucumber. Very refreshing! It's not "local" because it's run by non-local Americans, but it is small and has a nice ambiance. There was a bit of a problem getting seats for 4 at 7 pm as it was fairly busy and they apparently take reservations for very large parties in the small restaurant. The pork belly tacos were delicious. The "Alfredo" pasta was spaghetti (not linguini) with a little cream sauce (disappointing). The owners and staff were gracious and accommodating. We'd say go for the yummy drinks - but don't expect it to be "local" experience.

“Fine dining with a view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Very much enjoyed our return to the Rumfish. An upscale ambiance with good menu and excellent wine selection. Always a nice crowd with many return customers. No trip to Placencia is complete without a stop at this popular restaraunt.
