This restaurant was recommended to us by friends who visited over two years ago and couldn't stop raving about the food. Our last meal in Placencia was here and it was well worth it! This place was fantastic, the garden setting was beautiful, the staff was great, friendly and helpful and the food…was amazing. We tried several of the menu items and being that neither my husband or I eat seafood the Secret Garden had some amazing options for us. I had the Mayan chicken which was phenomenal and my husband got the rib eye which was a bit overcooked, but still had a great flavor. The garlic mashed potatoes were some of the best I've ever had. They key lime tart was the BEST desert we had in all of Belize and in Mexico from the start of our trip. Great atmosphere, food and people, we will be dining her again in our next trip to Placencia!

I'm going to keep this one simple... Excellent food, very nice people, beautiful outdoor seating. This was honestly some of the best food I have had in a long time. The black bean soup was amazing, as was everything else. Recommend the chicken popsicles (drumettes). If you've had your fill of conch fritters and rice and beans go to The Secret Garden and spoil yourself

We came here in May for a wedding rehearsal dinner with about 50 other people. I was instantly impressed by the private and intimate dining experience and then blown away by the food. I am not sure if the meal I had was made specially for the rehearsal menu or if it's a restaurant staple, but the shrimp stir fry was the best I've had in my life.

Although it seemed like we were a bit much for the staff to handle at once, at some points, the service was professional and classy - and definitely appreciated. While I would have never known this place to be as great as it is if I had just walked by, I am glad we came here and will recommend it to others as a wonderful place to visit while in Placencia.

This restaurant is a quiet peaceful garden restaurant experience. The food is prepared to perfection, served nice and hot and plate presentation is excellent. The cocktail and desert menu is to die for! I have eaten here many times, and just recently had again an excellent dinner. If you're in Placencia, you owe it to yourself to eat here. And the lady that owns this restaurant is a sweetheart!

Very cute atmosphere, good food and drinks. Was one of my favorite meals on this trip. Restaurant feels like a secluded little secret garden...so aptly named.
