“Sparse but comfy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013

Our 1st hotel in Belize was recommended by a local resident as we were travelling without prior reservations. The 4 of us enjoyed 2 main floor rooms which were sparse but comfy. The remote controls in both rooms for the older TV needed new batteries which they made readily available. Close to the bay with ocean view and walkway into town. Enjoyed the small friendly restaurant as well as the bar area. We stayed 2 nights and would recommend as a short stay facility.

Room Tip: Main floor room was a little noisy with street noise but everything seemed to quiet down after night...

Love this little gem.

Oh - It's not fancy by US standards, but it is more than adequate.
First and foremost are the wonderful gracious welcoming staff.
Second - everything that needs to work - works - TV, AC, Warm showers........
Small restaurant - has graciously served meals. (Breakfast was my favorite with eggs and fresh fruit every morning).
Last - but certainly not least - wonderful sunrise to wake up to every morning. Right on the ocean - breath-taking views. I love it!

We learnt this on our travels.Anything more than a bed is a luxury. At Hok ol kin we did have a bedside table and lamp and 2 double beds, but lumpy pillows.Bought a soft one for £5in one of the many Chinese stores.Lucy had offered replacements, but they were cut foam fillings.Apart from that the hotel is spotless, huge room, nice bathroom, good breakfast and helpful polite staff.Plus convenient location.
Use gettransfers taxi company to chetomal.Don't know what we would have done without their driver,Sylvano (and his sister)our visa was 3 days short !

I went back to Corozal this past Christmas and why would anyone stay any where else other than Hok ' ol Kin. For me it is like being at home really. The service is fantastic as Lucy and Aaron certainly provide every guest with the best possible service. The staff are very friendly and helpful making every guests experience top notch. The weather was fantastic nice warm days and at Hok' ol Kin you get a lovely sea breeze coming in right off the bay as the hotel is located right across the street from the bay.

If you are going to be staying in Corozal this is the place to stay at because you will always remember a great time at a fantastic hotel.

Room Tip: All the rooms on the upper level offer a great view of the bay with lovely sunsets and nice sea bree...

Hok ol K'in Guesthouse is a great place to stay. The rooms and hotel are spotless. It has a fantastic location.right across the street from the bay and the staff will treat you like family. Lucy and Aaron and all the staff really go the extra mile to see that you receive five star service.
I spent two weeks at this hotel from August 18-31 and I have travelled all over the world and this hotel is certainly exceptional value. The food is good and Lucy will cook it just the way you like it. I would not hesitate to recommend Hok ol K'in to anyone for any type of stay.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor have a balconly and a fantastic view of the Bay.

Clean comfortable rooms at a good price - all in all great value for money. There was a power cut in town the night we stayed, and yet they made sure there was coffee and a welcoming smile waiting for us in the morning.

Hokol Kin Guesthouse have a great location, directly across the street from the bay. Fantastic
view from the second floor balcony.place is spotless, big clean rooms with fresh sheets, clean
towels, no phones,no radio's totally relaxing atmosphere.Lucy the owner is very accommodating .
The little restaurant serves terrific meals, breakfast, lunch and dinners and the prices are great.
Little bar outside the building is fantastic place to spend time and while there you must try the
local beer even if you don't drink beer - Belikan . Short walk down the street and you could pick up water taxi that will take you to the island of Ambergris Caye or to the free zone on Mexican
side in Chetumal.

Room Tip: They have two types of rooms available, some wirh A/C and fan and they cost little bit more and not...
