Colleen & Allen have created an amazing place of perfection. Outdoor dinning, 150 acres of jungle, fruit farm, 4 donkeys, 2 doggies, beautiful maintained grounds, pathways all over the property to explore. Our 2 kids and our selves loved our stay. Unless you plan to stay fully at the resort the entire time, i may suggest renting an suv, otherwise you will pay each time you arrive and depart, (airport transfers, activities, town, food, groceries). Athough, with colleen's amzing culenery skills, you may not want to leave as soon as you step foot onto the lush grounds. Do take note, that there is nothing else within walking distance in any way, but renting an SUV we were able to see several towns, other resorts, Big Falls, local foods & sights, hiking, zip linning, zoo, gifts, ect. Allen & Colleen have put their very heart and soul into creating a unqiue & peaceful enviroment that is sure to bring joy and wonder to all who visit in the many years to come. A big thanks to both of them!!

“Id move there”

Table Rock Camp & Cabanas

I hated leaving Table Rock. The grounds are gorgeous, the location is perfect, it's quiet, it's private but not at the expense of amenities. Our room (Mot Mot) was great. The room is large, the bed was not your average hotel slab of stone, quite the opposite, it was very comfortable. no worries about air conditioning there. The hotel had a very cool theme of environmental conservatism. There are no power lines dangling over the orange trees, rather power is generated there on site. Even rain water is collected and filtered. It was easy to fall into the routine of coffee in the morning on the deck overlooking the Macal river identifying the sounds of wildlife, or afternoon swims in the Macal or morning hikes along the river and through the pastures stopping to greet Napolean and his family- donkeys rule! The best part were the owners of Table Rock. They make you feel like family, They make you feel at home. Ask Alan the owner to take you on a morning river trail hike or give you directions to the waterfalls in Pine Ridge or to make you an Elliot special. (grapefruit, local rum and sprite- yumm) I'd go back in a heart beat.

“Rediscovery Yourself”

Our days at Table Rock were a true fulfillment of their motto of “Rediscover Yourself”. My work causes me to travel all over the US and Canada, with the occasional trip overseas, so travelling was NOT the motivation for our vacation in Belize. I needed real “down time”, and being forced to disconnect from my electronic leash. Both needs were completely met during our stay with Colleen and Alan, the Table Rock owners.

Time in either the hammocks down in the Hammock Cabana, or the air chairs on our Mot-Mot Room porch with a good book was very well spent. As was swimming in the crystal clear Macal River on which Table Rock has over 2000 feet of frontage. And their gravel bar beach is a great place for viewing flocks of parrots as they fly overhead. At Table Rock we were constantly absorbed by nature.

Each and every meal was a delight, with a Belizean flavor. In addition to the good food, the dinning experience was heightened by their high, thatched roofed open-air dining room and lounge. We had views of the jungle out three, wall-less sides, with the stone-backed bar on the fourth. Stepping out onto the attached deck also provided a breath-taking view of the river below.

Our desire to explore a Mayan ruin was well satisfied by travelling mere minutes to nearby San Ignacio Town, and the Cahal Pech restoration. Not only were we able to climb the temple grounds uninhibited by park guards and restriction barriers, but the introductory tour of the interpretive center provided additional background to enhance our appreciation of Mayan culture. And being so close, we were able to tour the ruins at our leisure and still get back to our cabana with plenty time left for visiting Table Rock’s resident donkeys (what a treat this would have been for our grandkids, had they been with us).

Our week long stay @ Table Rock was the best vacation we have ever taken. The service was unmatched! Our hosts were always ready to guide us in our on/off-site adventures w/ great hospitality & knowledge. The property was impeccably gorgeous from the entrance, through our room, the dining room & relaxation area(hammocks!) down to the river. We canoed up the Macal River w/ a relaxion float back while enjoying a sunny day w/ many birds. We tied the canoe up river & following a short hike, enjoyed a couple of Belikin Beers @ a neighboring property. After floating back to Table Rock, we enjoyed a delightful lunch followed by several hours relaxing in hammocks w/ a refreshing Elliot Special (Highly Reccommended!) The food was excellent from the eggs, locally grown granola, fresh fish, fruits & veggies. Try the hummus! The staff was so gracious & a real pleasure to be around. We found ourselves spending our time walking/hiking the property w/ several wonderful naps. Bring plenty of film &/or digital memory, you'll use it. We ended up w/ over 500 pictures. Listen for the Howlers!!

We enjoyed three wonderful days at Table Rock. The setting is peaceful and serene. You are able to hear and see a variety of jungle wildlife. We enjoyed canoeing and light hiking and did a day trip to go caving. The food was great and the rooms were very clean and exceptionally comfortable.
However, the best part is the people. Colleen and Allan are wonderful hosts and their enthusiasm in welcoming guests is unparalleled. We will definitely return in the future.
