Tropicool Hotel is located in downtown San Ignacio, right around the corner from the ex-Novotel Bus Station, and the office is at the gift shop next door. Manager may seem to be one very "uptight dude", but he does keep things quiet, clean, and secure.

Hotel occupies the ground floor of a concrete building, rooms very clean and cheap (BZ$23 single), two good communal bathrooms, although the lobby is rather spartan (i.e. 4 plastic chairs and a table). Small garden/grounds but no outdoor seating available, however, lots of lines and clothes pegs to hang laundry.

Eva's Restaurant is just 30 metres/yards down the street, if you want to socialize and meet lots of other travellers.
