You don't find much about Caracol on the Internet, maybe that's why it's so great. We saw less than 20 people the entire time we were visiting the ruins. We were only on a temple with anyone besides our guide once.

The ruins are situated amongst rainforest. As you walk through the rainforest, you will just come upon huge temples and buildings. Caana, or the Sky Palace, is still the tallest man-made building in Belize.

It's also a great place for birding and viewing local fauna.

The sites are best enjoyed with a local guide, as there seem to be no guidebooks with more than a few paragraphs on this great site.
