“Great Food, Good Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

This is one of the more interesting restaurants in San Ignacio. Love the twist on traditional Belizean-style dishes. Great food quality and presentation. I had the Grilled Romaine Salad - it is officially one of my new favorites - a great mix of fresh seasonal veggies, grilled romaine and a fantastic dressing with a kick! Our server was prompt, courteous and engaging. The only thing that is slightly uncomfortable about Fuego is that if you sit on the patio you will likely be approached by a panhandler or two. They are courteous and will take "no thank you" for an answer but it does detract from the atmosphere a bit. All that said, we still enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back.

“Could of been better.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

Quaint setting with GREAT drinks... however the food fell short of our expectations. Ordered nachos. They used processed cheese instead of the real McCoy!

“Small Menu, Big Taste”

For Starter I had the Mennonite Bites which were excellent! Bite sized chunks of fresh fried mozzarella with a spicy sweet dipping sauce. My entrée was spicy chicken with mashed plantain. Good stuff!

“Never ceases to amaze!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2014

Ive been here before and its always been good. Ive come to expect it. But when I visited this last time it exceeded even my expectatiins. The pollo fuego on plantain mash was just incredible. My wife had the mango chicken. Equally as impressive. The service was its usual stellar self. Ill be back.

“Fantastic service and good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

We decided to go to Fuego based on the reviews and were not disappointed! They are certainly not stingy on the drinks and the food is just as good as what you'll get at a sit-down chain in the states. We highly recommend the "shards and dip" as an appetizer and were pleased with the cajun alfredo as well. What set Fuego apart was the above-average staff; they were attentive, polite, and very personable. Our only suggestion is to ask a cabby to meet you back at Fuego at a certain time as the ones you hail on the street will have you paying double...
