We tried Erva's tonight per tripadvisor ranking. To my disappointment, it's not like we expected at all. We were the only customers there about 6 p.m. We ordered the chaya as appetizer. My husband ordered lobster creol and I, shrimp creol. The chaya came out after more than 15 min, very pretty but not anything special. We were so hungry so we munched on it until more than half gone (30 min) when the main dishes came out. They were both very salty and very sour, and the rice, very dry. After a couple of bites literally, I stopped and had to fill up my stomach with the rest of the chaya. I just couldn't swallow the main dish anymore. To be fair, the ingredients were fresh but somehow the seasoning just didn't work for me. I had to stop by another restaurant to order something to go to take back to my hotel because I was still not full by then.
We had much better food at Hannah, and even Serendib.
