Hadn't been to MET for about 8 hours and our return was absolutely delightful. The extended Bevis family is genuine and relaxing to be around, the food delicious and the cottage clean, cool and relaxing! The potato pone dessert, and that breakfast beans cooked in coconut oil were wonderful! Great how they serve all local drinks including Arran's aged craboo liquer...
I can't think of anywhere else in Belize where you will keep company with such experienced Belizean explorers and adventurers whether planning your adventure or living vicariously through theirs. Arran, Jim and Marguerite have been to places in the interior of Belize that most people will only see on a map!
I was enchanted by their beautiful grandkids, and the scores of hummingbirds that feed alongside the cantina. The place and the people are....... real.....
