I came back to Belize because I heard that they will allowed to camp in Caracol during the winter solstice and will have a Maya ceremony. It went all beyond my expectation. First the Ruins are spectacular; we had a guided tour by Dr. Jaime Awe that was excellent and a great Mayan dinner. Being on top of Caana, the tallest structure during the opening Maya ceremony and watch the sunset on the ruins and the jungle was magical. Being awake at 2:30 by the sound of flute and drum, spend the night around the fire with the Mayas and welcome the sun on the beginning of a new Era made this second visit unforgettable.
