Can not even begin to explain how happy and satisfied I was with Dennis Perez and his team! This was a thrill of a lifetime. My 2 teenager daughters finally were able to convince me to do this tour and I have must say that I will never forget this experience! We had an awesome time.

I admit I was leery about booking this tour and giving my money to a complete stranger. i usually book all my tours thru Royal Caribbean Cruiselines. I e-mailed Dennis about a month and half prior to my trip with a few questions and HE CALLED ME FROM BELIZE within 5 minutes after I hit the send button. He was extremely polite and professional. He assured me that everything would be wonderful (he was right) and he sent me some additional information. He requested a $30 deposit which he did not even charge me for until like 3 days before my trip.

He explained to me PRECISLEY where I should meet him. ..and there he was, just as he said he would be, holding up a sign with my name on it. We sat down right in front of him and waited
approximately 5 minutes for the rest of our group to arrive. They were 11 of us in total plus 3 guides. The van was CLEAN, air conditioned and nothing was broken as stated in a previous review. Dennis did NOT drive recklessly and I am the epitome of a really bad back seat driver!! The ride was about an hour. Dennis and his brother were very informative about their country and what we were seeing on the drive.

When we got to the park Dennis dropped of 4 of the people in our group, along with his brother, and got them set up for their cave tubing tour. Then we drove to the zip lining site. We hurried along because we did not want to get stuck behind MASSIVE lines, which were already starting to build up. When we got to the site, we waited 5 minutes to get geared up. And then we all walked up the mountain and began our adventure. Like I said, it was thrilling!!!! Please bring bug spray and money to tip these guys who work SO hard on the platforms!

When we finished there was a line that must have been at least an hour wait. We saw a lot of people from our ship waiting in the line. Not my idea of fun, standing in the rain-forest getting eaten alive by mosquitoes!!!

After zip-lining we drove to the cave tubing site. I'm really bad with measuring distances, but I would say it was about 1 1/2 miles that we walked. It was so refreshing to get in the water. One of the guides took mine and my daughters tubes and carried them, including his own and other equipment the entire walk. The 7 of us got in our tubes and connected our selves together and sailed down the river. Dennis and our other guide (I can not remember his name, but he was wonderful!) explained things to us and did all the work for us. We did nothing except relax. We saw other large groups with as many as 30 people in them that were coming unlatched from each other, floating around, trying to get reattached. They also were too loud and so they could not hear their guide. NOT US! We were able to hear everything Dennis said, and we always stayed together.

After the tubing we went back to the car, changed our clothes and had a rum punch supplied by Dennis, (with and without alcohol) We were all pretty tired on the ride back. Again, Dennis drove safely. He dropped us off at the pier and DI NOT attempt to ask for tips like so many of these operations do. But please bring additional money for a tip for him and his group. They truly deserve it!

Bring bug spray, water shoes, dry sak for money and camera, and additional money for tipping, water and souvenir t-shirt.

This is truly an excursion I will always remember!

We did cave tubing with Dennis Perez in July. We sailed on Carnival Legend and Dennis was great. Do not go through Carnival it will be too crowded. When we went with Dennis there were only 6 of us. Dennis is very personable and professional. We had a great time. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Belize and the Mayan people as well as the wildlife in Belize. We had a great time. Dennis is funny! You will have a great time.

Not sure why this tour is so perfectly rated each time. Does not make sense. I am 100% certain the ratings for this "tour" are being fudged. Be careful. I am a very fair person and I am certain there is no way this group deserves a 5. Maybe a 3, at best.

We went in a old beat up van, I set in a seat that required I use my towel to be sort of comfortable for the 1 Hour + drive to the caves. The whole way there and back I felt the seat was going to break. The van swayed on the road beyond ok.

We we accomompanied by a person who was very aloft. He pratically dumped us off. Barely had anything to say. Seemed to be in an unpleasant mood.

Of course the rain forest and caves were awesome, really a can't miss in Belize.

I would rather simply rent a taxi to the caves, pay the 5 bucks to get in the park, then go on this "tour".

What you see on their web site and what you get a very different. No bus but old vans. We were charge for a lunch we never recieved. There is not water or food. You need to bring your own. The "Tour" dude was asking us for more money, and when I ask why, he literally answered "I don"t know". Be careful.

This is essential cheap "tour", however, I think we could have done it even cheaper, an certainly comfortably, using a taxi.

Be Aware.

We were really looking forward to a great time with Dennis' tour company from what we read. here in these reviews. However, our experience was not at all what we had hoped for.

We were the first ones to arrive at terminal #1 off the first tender like he advised. He told us to go sit and come back in 15 minutes. When we did he said to give him another 15 minutes. When we came back the 'van' was gone. He then had someone drive us in their very old personal car at a fast clip to catch up with the van.

When the van door opened there were three tiny fold down seats available. Two of the seats were broken and impossible to sit in. The other 7 people in the van were very upset by the time we caught up to them. The driver drove rather recklessly.

We were told that we would be zip lining first...but later found out that they were not ready to accomodate this at all. They kept saying we would have enough time and they would check with another group to bring us back.

No where did the description say that it took a 45 minute hike to get to the location where the tubing would begin. There was a handicap man and little girl in our group who needed much assistance and this took up all of the guide's attention. He was not much available to the rest of this group especially during the tubbing. We all began to scatter and I found myself gravitating to the other large groups with tour guides who had large lamps (that were much needed in areas) and who were very organized and helpful.

There were times when we needed assistance over the rapids and it was given by the other tour guides when our guide was no where to be found.

By the time we got back to the park he would not admit that there wasn't enough time for the zip lining excursion. We had to ask how long it would take to get back to make our departure time.

Everyone in the van opted out of the lunch stop since there wasn't enough time. It was a long day of scary transportation and chaos.

The cave tubing itself was a wonderful experience. I would go again but with a different company. The amount of the excursion was in question the whole time. The guide didn't know how much it was going to cost. He asked for $5 per person to get into the park (???) This was listed as included on the website. $5 for lunch???. And since we didn't do the zip lining we kept asking how much they were going to charge our credit card after the $30 deposit they required prior to our arrival.

The guide kept trying to get us to give him cash. We kept asking for the total amount minus the zip lining. He kept having to call and finally said he did not know. But that we would have to give him $45 per person and then $60. We did not give any money at the end. I just checked my credit account and it appears they took $30 and some change (???) as a deposit and then $50 and some change for the balance. I will watch my account to see if they take any more.

Please...be advised to use another company. The other groups were having a lot more fun and someone to truly guide them. There would not have been enough time to do both ziplining and cave tubing and make it back to the cruise ship for the last tender...even if you are on the first tender at 8 am.

I wish I had read a review like this before hand.

We visited Belize at the end of May and had an amazing time! After looking online for a cave tubing and zipline adventure tour, we settled with "Explore Belize Caves" and we were not disappointed! Dennis was a joy to work with! We emailed back and forth and he called ahead of our trip to get everything set up. Since we had plans in other parts of the country, he recommended a stay in Belize City which worked out great.

The trip turned out to be half the price of doing it from the cayes and Dennis picked us up directly at our hotel.

It took about an hour from downtown Belize to reach the cave tubing spot and we traveled in a nice air conditioned van. Dennis told stories along the trip and gave us great information on Belize.

Once at the site, we took a hike through the jungle getting to see different wildlife and plants. Since the cruise ships weren't in that day, we had the river mostly to ourselves. It was a fun time with great stories while in the caves and very relaxing. The second half was the zipline tour which was awesome. Although, it is kind of short, it's so fun to go sailing through the treetops.

Afterwards, we stopped for lunch at this great local joint called Amigos.

It was a great trip and we higly recommend it! Everyone along the way was so friendly! Dennis has a wonderful personality and we enjoyed our time with him.
