We booked cave-tubing.com because of the positive reviews on this site. We were hoping for a smaller group then the cruise ship tours; boy were we wrong. Our group was a full bus load. We were linked together in groups of 12-13; there was only 3 guides for the whole bus.

We only went through 1 cave, and it felt very rushed. They pushed us right through and we were through the actual cave in 15 minutes. We even passed the crusie ship tour that stopped to admire the inside of the caves. Their tour guide was giving them some history on the caves. Our tour guide just pushed us all through. It would of been nice to know the history /information about the cave systems.

The tour took so long becasue of the number of people. By the time everyone got their tube walked the trail and got into their tubes it was noon. We did not have time to stop for lunch. When we left their was 3 cave tubing buses parked in the parking lot.

The tour was less money; however I was disappointed in the cave tubing excperience. I saw some smaller groups that did 2 caves and took some time to go swimming-

We were a family of 4 with children 8 and 11.

We booked the cave tubing and zip line combo for Feb 28th, and took one of the first tenders off our ship; Major Tom was waiting right near the dock for us. We had a small group of about 9 people including us. Our tour guides were Minor Tom and George of the Jungle and they were wonderful!! George even made some homemade bread pudding for us! They were so full of knowledge about the island and its surroundings. My husband did the zip line while we waited back at the van and he really enjoyed it. George really took his time explaining things to us on our hike to the caves and we learned so much about the jungle! I really enjoyed how they did the tour through the caves. I watched all of the other groups just float on by with no tour guide explaining anything to them, but that was not the case with George. He kept us all linked together and was an excellent tour guide. On our way back they stopped and picked us up lunch and it was delicious!! I would highly recommend Major Tom for any tour you want to take - they are available at cave - tubing (dot) net.

We cannot say enough good things about cave-tubing.com Yhony and his staff of tour guides were absolutely great! We went on the ATV / Cave Tour Combo. Cost $75.00 P.P. We reserved only four days ahead of time. Yhony confirmed the reservation and instructed us to meet at pier 1 (All the piers are together for arriving transfer boats, so it is really easy to find). He had our name on the check in sign at the bus area behind the pier. Everything went just like he said it would. Only 2 couples signed up for the combo tour so Yhony had his guide, Joel take us separately in his private vehicle to the ATV park for a 45 minute ride on a trail cut through the jungle. It was so much fun! We then went to cave tubing park and walked up the river for about 30 minutes. We floated through two caves with our head lamps on but the fun really started when the lights went off - total darkness! We had the opportunity to change into dry clothes after the float then we drove back to the port with plenty of time to spare to catch the transfer boat back to our ship by 3:30.

We would recommend this combo tour to future guests - we were treated like VIP's the entire tour and had a great time. Bring watershoes and a water proof camera with flash.

“cave tubing ATV - great excursion UNTIL.....”

We were on a Carnival cruise last week and decided to go on a cave tubing excursion in Belize. We read lots of reviews and decided to book with cave-tubing.com. I emailed Yhony and made the reservations for 2 for 12/13/07. Yhony emailed back and confirmed the reservations for 12/6/07. I emailed back to make sure he would make the reservations for the 13th. Confirmation was corrected .
We were lucky and got off the ship by 8:30 a.m. on the 13th. Yhony was standing there with all the names on a sign that had signed up for either cave-tubing or cave-tubing and ATV except my name was not on the sign. That didnt seem to matter. We still got on the excursion. There were 9 people on the van who went first to the ATV riding and then to the cave-tubing. When we got to the ATV parking area 3 more people joined us. The ATV ride was a blast. My husband and I really enjoyed it. After the ATV ride 4 more people joined us in the van to ride to the cave tubing parking place which was only a couple of miles away. After the cavetubing the people who joined our van later were supposed to ride back to Belize city in another vehicle.By then we were 16 people. We hiked appr. 30 minutes to the start of our tubing through 2 caves. It was spectacular and we really enjoyed it almost as much as the ATV ride. I only wished we all would have gotten a head (miner) light. They only had 5 lights for the 16 of us. I would think I could have seen more in the caves. At the end of the tubing we hiked back to the van and went into a changing station to change into dry clothes. To our big surprise when we came out we saw the backlights of our van leaving the parking lot. We screamed and waved but they obviously didnt hear or see us and there we were without a ride back to the ship.
Evidentally there was no head count, too many people joined during the trip and the guides lost the oversight of who or how many people they should take back to the port which was about a 1hr drive away.
We approached a tourguide in the parking lot and asked him if he was by any chance a guide from the cave-tubing.com outfit. He said no and I continued to tell him what happened, that our guide had left without us and our ship was leaving in 11/2 hrs. He told us not to worry, he would help us. His name is Mike, he is a guide with Major Tom's cave tubing tour. Major Tom himself approached us and told us not to worry, we would get a ride with his van back to the port and he even was so gracious to apologize for Yhony's company saying things like that could happen.
On our way back in Major Toms van, the people who took the cave tubing tour with him were all in praise. They said Mike was an extremly good tourguide and everybody enjoyed their excursion tremendously.
To come to the point of my review: We did enjoy the ATV and cave tubing with Yhony . Evan was a good guide but they absolutely have to get better organized. Things like that just should not happen.
We were lucky to find somebody who did take us back to the port and we were able to catch the last tender to our cruise ship.
But I really didn't want that much excitement!

Thanksgiving 2007 This was the highlight of our trip! It rained the day before so the Rain Forest was very muddy and perfect for an ATV ride. These were not the boring go slow tours I have been on in the past. You actually get to have fun on these. After the ATV they take you up the road a bit for the cave tubing tour. We got to go through one more cave then the trip booked on the ship and we paid less for both adventures then cave tubing alone would cost on the ship. It was $98 per person on the ship for just cave tubing we paid $75 for both adventures. I did tip on top of this only because the experience was so good and I felt like it. The guides were fun people. Our driver Sunny gave us a lot of interesting info about the country, The ATV guide Tim helped us get unstuck several times through a fairly long ride and the cave tubing guide no need to fear Dennis is here was a lot of fun and knew exactly when to say BUTTS up and kept us from hitting the wall in the cave while I heard behind me a group saying ouch as they hit the stone wall. I found out about cave-tubbing.com by researching on the internet including here on Trip Advisor so I wanted to encourage another family to have a great memory. My wife and I are 48 and our two kids are 21 and 15. The ATV may not have been as fun with little kids because it is bumpy andyou do get muddy (If your lucky) but for us this was the best excursion on our vacation.
