I was delighted with my recent four night stay at the Radisson. I arrived at the hotel at approximately 11:00 AM and after a quick and efficient check-in, I was on my way to my Club Tower room. The room was very spacious and offered a terrific view of the Caribbean Sea. The king sized bed was a Sleep Number model and quite comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dated, but more than functional with plenty of counter space. Each evening the housekeeper would come for turndown service and leave chocolates on my pillow and either a note about the hotel's events the following day or a prayer for the traveler. The service at the hotel was warm and welcoming from start to finish. I had good meals at all three of the hotel's eateries. The Sunday brunch in the St. George's dining room was especially good and I also enjoyed beginning each day with a trip to Le Petit Cafe bakery. The hotel is on a quiet street in a section of the city heavy with colonial charm. The grounds of the hotel include attractive places to sit and take in the sea air. Overall the Radisson was excellent value for the money and I would not hesitate to return.

General attitude of the personnel was “we don’t want you here”. The service was indifferent, at best. In some areas it was unfriendly, in others almost hostile.

The “speedy and friendly” reception took hours to find rooms for us. The first day the beds were not made at all. The second day the door was locked and room keys stopped working. When I went to the reception to complain I was reminded, coldly, that “you are supposed to check-out today”. That was well before the check-out time.

This was the first time for us in this hotel, and certainly the last. If this policy is common to all Radissons this was the last time for us in that chain.

My husband and I had a great time at the Radisson. We stayed in one of the the villa rooms. The room was large, had a king sized bed, and a very large shared patio that was surrounded by gardens. The only complaint I had about the room was that the doors are very thin, and people walking in front of the room in the morning woke me up. The staff was friendly, but a bit slow. The food at the Stone Grill and St. Georges was very good. Overall it was a very nice place to stay while in Belize City.

The worst service I've ever had at a Radisson. Many of the staff were rude and surly, especially at reception. we'd been travelling for a couple of weeks and may not have fit the reception staffs view of what a Radisson customer should look like. That shouldnt matter and everyone should be treated politely and fairly.

The plus points are that there are a number of bars and restaurants (though the staff try and close early!) and its a safe option if you have a flight out of Belize City.

We stayed at this hotel for one night in December. We booked a Bed and Breakfast package online in a Club Tower room. We asked for a kingsize bed, but got two doubles. The hotel is quite nice, but dated in terms of decor. Room was large and clean and very well equipped. It had a beautiful view of the ocean. I thought the management was somewhat disorganized. Had to argue with the staff several times (at check-in and at check-out) that my prepaid rate included breakfast vouchers. They did not have this in the system, but fortunately I had brought reservation copy from home. Fitness room is very, very basic. Pool looked OK, but is small.

  • Liked — Room had a wonderful view and was nicely equipped.
  • Disliked — Disorganization at front desk. Staff could be friendlier.
