My girlfriend and I stayed here in one of the upper rooms recently. The place is in a pretty good location and is fairly nice. It's run/owned by a local Belizean man and his wife, a Canadian woman. On the positives it is a pretty nice place with a nice balcony. The lady cleans the room daily. The water is really not hot. It was either warm or not heated at all. It wasn't too bad as at even room temp. the water was bearable. The negatives were mainly the EXTREME frugalness/penny pinching of the lady that owns the place. It wasn't that big of a deal to deal with extra money it's just kind of the annoyance and principle of the thing. Examples -- Turn the ceiling fan off when you leave the room, turn the a/c off (which costs extra) when you leave the room, advertises a coffee pot with coffee yet only gives about a tablespoon and a half of coffee per day (this makes ONE cup) and will not give more, charges $12/ per person per day to use a bicycle (other places let you use their bikes for free), will not allow a 1030 check out instead of a 1000 check out. Overall this place is OK, but there's a lot better for the same price. Caye Caulker in itself is a nice place with a slow island lifestyle.
