“Chilling at the split”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

'The Split' is the place to be on Caye Caulker. It is the beach-y area where you can lay out, listen to music and chill. Great vibe, but don't order their special drink.

“Best location, best value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

The Lazy Lizard is the best of everything- beach, bar, and the best stew chicken going. This became our lunch go to spot, as the food was fresh, well prepared and very tasty. Combine that with their signature Lizard Juice and you have a culinary experience that is second to none. The people watching is awesome, and a good number of the colourful locals like to hang here. Definitely one of our top picks!

“Drink spiked by bartender at the Lazy Lizard”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

On 20 November, 2012 my sister's drink was spiked by the bar tender at the Lazy Lizard. She is still in Belize now but leaving to return to the mainland so I am writing this on her behalf as she is without internet conenction.

The bar tender, whose name she does not know but is a Mayan guy between the age of 35-40 with a clipper cut and a tattoo on his forearm spiked her drink. He was trying to touch her innapropriately a lot and re-filled her drink and then she became very sick and passed out on the beach. Thanksfully she is ok.

But please exercise caution if you are a female drinking alone.
