“Excellent Service and Care”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

We (myself, wife, daughter and son-in-law) spent just over a week at Sea Dreams (we had the two bedroom unit) and had an excellent vacation. Sea Dreams provides a good filling breakfast that is prepared by Aida. As others have noted they a have a private dock and roof top patio for breakfasts and the happy hour bar (Aida) with assorted chairs and hammocks, great places to hang out and the sunsets from the dock are amazing. During our stay I came down with a medical issue and Aida coordinated the care. She and Haywood Curry (hotel owner) picked up the doctors and returned them to the hotel and then arranged for them to return as needed. I am not sure where else you might get this level of service. Sea Dreams arranged for our daughter and son-in-law to be picked up at the airport and transported to the water taxi. They also arranged for the four of us to be picked up at the water taxi and taken to the airport when we left Belize. Unfortunately our daughter left her camera in the taxi. Following collect calls to Sea Dreams (Anna), the taxi owner delivered the camera to the airport just prior to our flight home. In addition, Heidi Curry and two others started the High School on the island and Haywood teaches a fly fishing course to some of the students. Their commitment to Caye Caulker is amazing. The service we received from the staff and owners of Sea Dreams is exceptional and we can without hesitation recommend it to others and we will stay with them when next we return to Caye Caulker.

We adored this wonderful family-run hotel on Caye Caulker. Great staff were helpful, thoughtful, and felt like instant friends. The hotel itself couldn't be in a better location - on a quiet road near the split (not my choice of hangout, though many will enjoy it) with access to 'beach life' on one side and a private dock for more zen-like relaxation (and amazing sunsets) on the other side. Breakfast (included) was delicious, and eating outside on the rooftop deck, a treat. We made good use of the free bikes, and felt truly welcome and peaceful our entire stay. We will definitely be back to Caye Caulker and without a doubt back to Sea Dreams!

(we stayed 2 nights in a room - very comfortable and relaxing, and 2 nights in the Orchid Cabana - beautiful! a huge treat that we really loved)

Sea Dreams is a perfect hotel in Cayenne Cauker, charming, calm, small and friendly. We had one of the six rooms opening on the courtyard. They are small but well equiped and confortable. Breakfasts are served every morning on the upper patio, menu is different every day but lways fresh and abundant.
We'll be back but hope to be able to book the cabana, more spatious and intimate.

This hotel was a pleasent suprise on or recent trip. The accomadations and the setup are the best on the island. The fishing services and the happy hour are outstanding bonuses. The hotel is steps away from the LazY Lizard bar at the split and the Tarpon and Bonefish are right at the dock. Booking includes a delicious omplementery breakfast with eggs, sausage, and pancakes. The owners are constantly updating and adding to the appeal of the hotel and the island(Running the hotel and a Highschool on the island) Great people with great taste and Class.

We had five great nights at Sea Dreams on Caye Caulker, tucked away up near the Split. The owners are committed to making this little Belize island a better place. I recall how excited they were to find a tiny black orchid growing out of the huge tree in their lovely courtyard. Our room was small but well appointed, with a comfortable bed. Great upstairs terrace for hanging out when you've had too much fun in the sun. Hang a left out the front entrance and you come to their private wharf where you can take a dip, and where the deck chairs insist you sit and watch the sunset. Hang a right and you're at the main beach. But here's the kicker. On leaving we left our tablet charger plugged into the wall and didn't discover that till we were at Parrot's Nest on the other side of the country. Next morning we put in a hapless call to Anna at reception. After sorting out the logistical issues with super shuttle driver William, she flew it to the airport in Belize City, where William picked it up and brought it out to us, along with the guests he had collected. All this happened in just one day, at no cost to us aside from a tip for William. Huge thanks all. Caye Caulker is amazing. Sea Dreams makes it perfect. Want some reality? I suppose they could upgrade the bikes, but who's really in a hurry?.

Wonderful small hotel. Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, great location next to "the split" beach and great decoration. I loved the tree in the middle of the hotel. Breakfast with a view and hammocks on the roof top terrace. AMAZING! Really enjoyed this experience.
Only a little bit more expensive than other hotels on the island, should be a little bit cheaper for what you get (breakfast could be more varied. There was no choice given, just something served). But I think this is one of the best choices you could make.
I also loved the free rental bikes to make an island tour on! Great Great Great!

Room Tip: They are all great!

We stayed here for 3 nights the first week of January. We loved the location (near everything but quiet end of street).
The staff was great. The accommodated for whatever we needed (early arrival, early breakfast, called a "cab", arranged our guided fishing trip)
Breakfast cooked by Aida was always delicious. We had fry jacks, French toast, and burritos always with fresh fruit and juice.
Our room was quite small but good nonetheless. It had a/c, hot shower, comfy bed and a stocked mini fridge ;)

Sea Dreams Hotel is a family-run boutique hotel on the quaint island of Caye Caulker. We are located at the north end of the village which affords a three-sided view of the Caribbean Sea. Guests quickly become part of the Sea Dreams family: eating breakfasts with Iris on our thatch-covered rooftop, picking up fishing tips from Haywood on our dock, planning excursions with Anna, Stephanie or Kelly learning about island education with Heidi, enjoying impeccable housekeeping services from Maria Elena & Melanie, or enjoying a tropical drink with Celia at our Banyan Tree Bar. Our dock, located on the leeward edge of the split, is the entry into a unique slice of paradise: perfectly clear and calm, chest-deep, turquoise water with a white sandy bottom. Every evening, guests watch the sun melt into these waters and cast pastel shades across the skies. When guests are not diving, snorkeling, fishing, kite boarding, or touring Mayan ruins, they relax at the hotel with a drink at the bar, a massage at the spa, a book in a hammock, or a canoe ride to feed the local Tarpon.
