“Decent, but nothing special.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2011

We stopped in here to test out their lobster nachos, which were great. They put soooo much lobster on! The pie, on the other hand, not great. It was...strange, and maybe that's just a cultural disconnect, but not the best. So it balanced out. Yes, it was pretty good food, but if you're looking for stellar, look elsewhere.

“Great Value -- Nice Drinks and Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2011

The prices are in the middle of Caye Caulker range, but their portions are massive. Especially for the kabobs. I had a lobster kabob that was very tasty, with nice sides, and included a drink. We ate there twice during our short stay and really enjoyed both meals. I've seen other reviewers note slow service, but it service was fine considering that we were relaxing on vacation. We did not expect quick serve speed and we were not overly bothered by the restaurant's pace. For us, the location was really good as it was at the end of Front Street and easy to find. I'd recommend this restaurant and especially the generous kabobs!

“Good for an afternoon snack”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2011

We stopped here for an afternoon snack after snorkeling. It was good. Had the "belizian favorite" stewed chicken w/ rice and beans, and the chicken tacos.

“Good view, ok food, poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2011

If you are looking for a quiet place to have breakfast with free wifi, this is a great place to go. The food is only average, and the staff are slow and make you feel like you being there is bothering them, but they do have free wifi and their fresh pineapple smoothies are good. The smoothie is free when you order a breakfast burrito, but you have to ask them for it.

“Great Dining Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2011

I took my entire restaurant staff (award winning restaurant) for an overnight at Caye Caulker simply to get away from Ambergris Caye and for them to be served rather than they serving. Our decision to stay at Tropical Paradise was an exceptional one. The Tropical Paradise Restaurant Rivals with any of the Top Restaurants in Belize.
All of us were pleasantly surprised by the service, the food presentation and the Food Quality. I had the baked Barracuda steaks that was really delightful. Our chef had the Lobster Kebobs presented on two skewers and the presentation was exceptional with large portions. Not to mention the cold belikin beers and an exquisite outdoor dining setting. We will certainly be back to Tropical Paradise Restaurant.
