“A pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

We got two suites and they were lovely. The pool was very nice with a friendly bar right next to it. It is really a prime location in the heart of San Pedro Town, with close proximity to the beach. As a tip, the king size bed is really two twins put together.

The hotel is very nicely located and comfortably appointed. The rooms were spacious, clean, attractive, and in good condition. We found the island fairly expensive, so it was nice to have a suite where we could eat breakfast. We also spent some time hanging out in the hotel. The pool, bar/restaurant area is very pleasant. The staff is helpful and nice. On that island it is great to be in the center and walk everywhere. The beach is also the best around although the public nature of it made it subject to some trash. I actually suggested to the hotel they extend their labor to regularly cleaning litter from beach/ water near the hotel.

This is a separate facility from the SunBreeze Hotel across from the airport (same owner)! We stayed eight nights and through Hurricane Ernesto at the SunBreeze Suites. If you want top of the line accommodation, this is not your place! The furniture and decor is a little dated, but clean and very comfortable. If you want good clean comfortable accommodations at a very reasonable price, this is one of the best buys in San Pedro! We had a one-bedroom suite with full kitchen and living room. The room has cable TV, air conditioning and slow but functional wireless internet. The hotel is beach front with a wonderful pool.

First, the staff was unbelievably friendly and hard working! When you asked for something the response was immediate. Probably having only about 14 rooms in the entire hotel makes individual attention easier.

Second, you are IN the town of San Pedro where the locals live and the restaurants etc all are and not at one of the mega resorts at the north-end of the island where you have to take a water taxi to get to town. If you just want to relax on the beech, go north. If you want to meet the people and culture, stay in San Pedro. Here, you can walk to everything!

We would go back!

Room Tip: The suites are a three story building shaped as a U with the open end towards the beach and the pool...

My group of three women stayed at the Sunbreeze Suites for 6 days and can not rave enough about our experience. When we checked in and requested that the "king" size bed be separated into twins, it was immediately done. (Do not expect Marriott style mattresses.) The suite was spacious with a nice sized balcony facing the beautiful Carribean. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The small bar and grill near the pool was perfect for light meals and great mimosas. The location was perfect! The only downside was that there was no swimming area at the beachfront. But that is apparently normal for the island, except at the more expensive resorts.
We were lucky to have had a wonderful fishing guide (Tony) and his partner (Mario) who took us on a great tour around the island and on a fishing trip. His boat is moored at the hotel's dock.
We will return!! Loved it all!!

Sunbreeze staff was friendly and helpful. Vanessa at the front desk answered all emails relative to the property quickly and efficiently. It is centrally located to restaurants, shopping and the pier which has the water taxi and snorkeling, diving, parasailing, and fishing. Shuttle from the island airport is complimentary. I didn't try the restaurant but Elvi's and Wild Mango's are excellent. Purchase the 5 gallon water bottle at the desk for teeth brushing and washing of kitchen items. Since this is on front street, it is right on the beach. If you go to the 3rd (back) street, there is a Super Buy grocery store which stocks most necessities. Prices for items like bananas are cheaper in the smaller shops. The roof needs some work as do the sofa cushions but this is minor. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor as a notice in the room suggests taking everything off your balcony at night if...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms had a great view. We could watch stingrays from our balcony. Room had a full kitchen with utensils. Service from the bar was great. The maids were very friendly and eager to do their job. Everyone was great and we will come back for a visit.

My wife and I had an excellent one week stay at the SunBreeze Suites in San Pedro. The SunBreeze promptly sent a complimentary shuttle to pick us up at Tropic Air when we arrived on the island. We were warmly greeted by name the very second we entered the lobby. WOW...never had that happen anywhere before! The staff are very focused on delivering excellent customer service for tourists. The staff here bend over backwards to make sure your stay on the island is memorable and fantastic. They can arrange tours for you, they can arrange golf cart rentals (which is the island's transportation), and they are there to serve you and do it very well. The staff know how to deliver an extreme high level of personalized service and they exceeded our expectations. Our suite on the third floor had a small kitchen area with cabinets, dishes, silverware, utensils, microwave, large fridge/freezer, sink, stove, and American style Mr.Coffee pot. The bathroom had a tiled ample walk in shower (with built in stocked soap/shampoo dispenser), flush toilet and lighted sink/vanity with ample cabinet storage for toiletries. There is a good sized closet in the bedroom to store your clothes for the week. You can arrange to get your clothes laundered if you want. The living area had a small round dining table with 4 chairs and there was a small sofa, end table with lamp, coffee table and table with older TV with many channels available (but there is SO MUCH to do on the island we did not watch TV, nor did we stay in the room except to sleep), and sliders out to a large walk-out balcony-- a great place to sip your Belikan or drink your coffee while taking in the million dollar tropical beach view below! The week we were there, we had complimentary WiFi....I used this with my tablet to Facebook /message back to the states. There is also a WiFi cafe located a few doors down on the same street.
