“Wonderful and relaxing stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014

We stayed the first week of March and had a wonderful time. Andrew and George couldn't have been more helpful in making our stay more enjoyable. We would highly recommend Caye Casa who wants a quite location. The reviews in Tripadvisor were right on. Reef was a great watch dog and you will have a best friend if you get him some dog treats from the nearby grocery store. Room 5 has an awesome sunrise view! If you snorkel, you can venture out just beyond the sea grass where it clears up (2'-3' deep) and you can find star fish, fish, conch, rays and a black fish who is guarding an upside down bath tub.... You may want to bring along an inflatable to keep the boat traffic away. Different times during the day while on the porch, we did hear the neighbor's TV and kids which was a little distracting. The bed was a little hard and squeaky but we always woke up well rested. Be advised, Google earth and travel site's location for the hotel are wrong, the hotel is located about a block or two south of the bridge. After exploring San Pedro, we were even more happy with the location. We rented bicycles for the first 5 days and enjoyed riding around and the ability to "park" them anywhere. Make sure you get locks and chains. We did rent a golf cart for an afternoon which was fun but not as practical as the bikes. We did fly to San Pedro and after taking a boat ride to the mainland for an excursion, it was clear the extra cost for a flight was well worth it.

This place was a real dream. We had two couples and the rooms were spacious, clean and the two bathrooms were key. We had a huge beautiful water facing patio. The staff, Andrew and George were very welcoming and friendly. Great quaint place in a nice location. It is a relatively quick walk to town which I think it easier than a golf cart on a bumpy road.

We only stayed here one night and wish they would have had a cancellation for the next night. This is a great value for your money. It is right on the beach front, near lots of good things to do and places to eat. The room was exceptionally nice and the people were even better at caring for you. I would like to go back and stay longer at this hotel.

It was easy to see why so many passersby stopped to take pictures of Caye Casa. It can easily be labelled the nicest Caribbean feeling resort on the island.
If you are looking for a place with over 100 people as your close house guests then stay at Ramon's Village. If you prefer quaint small Caribbean charm with a hand full of other guests Caye Casa should be your choice. Situated on the north end of San Pedro you are within walking distance of almost everything. There really is no need to rent a golf cart but they do make it fun to cruise around the island. Just one street behind Caye Casa is a grocery store, bakery, liquor store and street vendors selling fresh fruit and veggies.
All the staff are friendly and helpful. Thanks to George, Andrew and our lovely housekeepers who did such a great job. Thanks to Reef (the resident German Shepard) who made us feel welcome.
We could not have asked for better weather or a better place to stay.
Top notch, absolutely beautiful. Caye Casa is fabulous.

Room Tip: Second story villa. Able to leave the doors and windows open all night and feel the wonderful breez...

We stayed here for 8 nights in mid February 2014 and could not have been happier about our choice! From my first communications with Beth via e-mail I could see they ran a professional boutique! Her reply's were timely and full of all the information I needed with-out being pushy about the sale. We stayed on the ground floor in a Casita and we loved our time there! Having that porch to kick-back on was SO nice! Our neighbors were all very nice people as well so it was fun to sit in the evenings and share the days adventures.
The staff here will take such good care of you. If you want ANYTHING at all they will order it for you, bring it to you, arrange it for you...whatever! The evening watchman Nino, is very kind and really keeps an eye on you and the property.
It is very true that Shirlene's massages are wonderful! She very near the property...takes 60 seconds to walk to her "tent" and get a wonderful massage by the ocean. Jorge or Andrew will be happy to arrange this for you as well is Shirlene is busy when you go by.
Cleaning staff our wonderful as well and will do as much or as little as you need.
Wayo's Beach Bar is a must as well and is just a few doors down towards town. You will be welcomed there by the day or evening staff and the locals will befriend you as well. A great vibe at this place! They went over and above to assist us! One night when my husband hadn't returned from the Blue Hole Dive, Trevor called the dive shop twice (with-out asking me...just did it) to find out what was going on so I wouldn't worry. Guess I don't hide my worry well! Turned out the boat had engine problems and they ran 3 hours late!!
Walk to town in just 10 minutes or rent a cart. We rented a cart and were glad we did as we had access to the entire island with it! It was a great decision for us to spend the $ on the cart. We also walked many times just for the fun of a walk and the location is perfect and not far from anything.
And of coarse, there is the ever popular German Shepherd Dog Reef who we LOVED! We always miss our dogs when vacationing and she was just what we needed to fill that gap!
I could go on and on about this place. Do yourself a favor and book your stay here. You will be happy you did!

Room Tip: I saw 4 of the rooms. All three bottom rooms. The room on the far left in the picture is a 2 bedroom...

This my third time at Caye Casa and I loved it even more than last time. The staff is always nice and accomodating. Anything you need they will try to make happen. The condo we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The walk to town, and any good food or music, is my favorite. You can walk anywhere. It is almost tranquilizing on Ambergris Caye. The perfect vacation spot. The porch along the front of our condo was the perfect spot to watch the beach and people. Nice place for breakfast and coffee. This is the perfect place for me.

Room Tip: All rooms are great.

We stayed at Caye Casa for 4 nights in February. There were 2 couples so we rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bath on the second floor. The location of Caye Casa was perfect. North of town, but an easy 7 minute walk to San Pedro and just south of the bridge. We walked into town at least 2x a day. Both bedrooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. The common area was big too and included a full kitchen, WiFi, AC, flat screen TV, etc. We didn't take advantage of the kitchen as there are so many great restaurants on the island. The only drawback to Caye Casa would be the size of the pool, as it's small. The pool wasn't a priority for us as we went scuba diving everyday, but if you are looking for a large pool you might want to look elsewhere. We often would hang out at the end of the dock in the lounge chairs overlooking the ocean. Who needs a pool when you have a beautiful ocean to swim in. The staff was incredible. From the first phone call to Beth to reserve the room to arriving and having Andrew help us with anything we needed. He even ordered Beer for us and had it delivered. My girlfriend and I got engaged during our stay at Caye Casa and Andrew alerted management and Julie arrived the next day with a bottle of wine for us. That was so nice of them. You can't beat the size of the accommodations, the location and the incredible staff here at Caye Casa. You won't regret staying here!!!
