We enjoyed ourselves immensely on San Pedro, and found the Royal Caribbean Resort to be wonderful.

The resort os a nice walk away from the downtown (or a quick golf cart ride) and yet is far enough from the downtown to feel like a real resort. The rooms were very large and spacious, and nicely appointed. The beds were comfortable and appropriately separated from the living area.

The staff at the resort were absolutely the BEST! They were up to any and every request, including luggage lost by a USA based airline.

We just returned from a destination wedding week at the Royal Caribbean Resort where we were with family and friends and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is so relaxing and everyone could gather around the pool and beach for lunch, afternoon sunbathing, and evenings before dinner. The manager and staff were so helpful in planning events for everyone and accommodating wishes for any activity that guests wanted. Nondo and Nick were especially hospitable and made us all feel so welcome to their island. They planned several extra activities for the wedding week and coordinated the travel and reservations. The wedding festivities on the beach were wonderful and the reception dinner at Fido's (the restaurant on location) was very good. The resort has all the resources to create a fabulous beach wedding.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the friendly attendants were always smiling. You can easily walk to several restaurants on the island for dinner or Nondo and Nick will arrange for a cab to pick you up and get you where you need to go. With the kitchenttes in each cottage you can easily prepare a picnic lunch or breakfast to enjoy at the beach.

We highly recommend staying at the Royal Caribbean Resort.

Our trip to San Pedro, Belize was incredible because of the people at the Royal Caribbean Resort. Nick from the front desk was always smiling and ready to help plan activities, find us a bike, solve a problem and turned into a fun friend! Nando the general manager handled everything with such professionalism. This is the only place we have EVER stayed where the housekeeping staff smiled and asked if we were having a good time. Small town atmosphere for us is a big deal! No noise; no crime; no fast pace! We rode bikes or walked everywhere. Snorkeled, scuba dived and took a super trip to see the Mayan ruins on the main land. It was a wonderful trip and we can thank the people on this wonderful little island.

We were originally booked at a hotel on the beach in town and after spending one miserable night listening to the town's loud music and endlessly barking dogs, we gratefully moved to the RCR. Each cabana has a spacious living area with a small kitchenette (just microwave and fridge). The air conditioning was appreciated (the constant trade winds on the beach can be very tiring) and the bed was very comfortable. Having purified water running from the taps was a surprizing plus. The restaurant nearby was overpriced, so we walked to town for meals. It's about a 25 minute walk along the beach. It's good to carry a flashlight at night because the south end of the island is quieter and darker. The RCR has its own pier and the snorkeling/dive boats can pick you up and drop you off there. This is a good place for people who like to do things on their own and don't need coddling, although the office staff ordered taxis for us whenever we wanted. They also offer free internet use on a machine in the office building.
