First everything was ok, the rooms are cheap and the people seemed to be nice. But after a while you figure out what´s going on: the rooms are noise and never get cleaned, you haven´t got any electricity and maybe it is better for you not to have any electrical things: They broke into my room and stole everything. Peter just didn´t care, I found him drunken in his flat and he just started playing poker in the internet. He is a gambler and drinker, and just nice as long as you drink with him... the only nice person is Walther.

I booked a week in advance. Arrived and was picked up at the airport by Walter after I called. The pictures of the rooms are deceptive. When you open the door to go in there are two beds that just barely fit in the room, that's it. What you see in Pedro's pictures is from the door. There is no place to store your gear. The only outlet for electricity is the lamp above the bed. You''ll need a three prong adapter to plug in your computer, elec. razor, etc. There is an overhead fan, but no air conditioner. If you want to wash your clothes, be prepared to pay an extra $7.00 a load for wash and dry. They advertise wireless access, but don't expect it to work. I had a terrible time trying to connect with my laptop. It never worked well when I could get connected. It was always crashing. Pedro's is right next to the airport, so be prepared to listen to planes coming and going during the day. They don't have air service after dark. Pedro's is not much to look at, and some guy runs a junk yard out back. The neighborhood is pretty run down, so don't expect pristine views from the balcony. Peter was a real jerk. He wouldn't even give me the time of day. Fortunately the people he had working for him were cool. I strongly suggest you find better digs. This place sucks.

A planned 3 days turned out to be 3.5 weeks simply because the owner Peter gave me great advice on using a local dive company (with discounts if recommended by peter) versus going on a live aboard and I made a huge saving of US$1,000.

Great simple accommodation to keep costs down so you can spend more on diving. Bathrooms were kept clean at all times. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Only 10 mins walk to the town centre and a few mins to the beach. And the pizzas are really really good. Plus there's a pool at a hostel!

Great place to stay if you are looking for good value and clean accommodation. The town itself is a great place for restaurants and diving and Pedro's itself is really well situated. Personally i liked just reading by the pool at Pedro's but the bar was a cool place to hang out as well. There's lots of interesting places to stay in Central America but this was one of the best places i've been just to chill out and have a good time.
