I had a really relaxing two and a half weeks in San Pedro, staying at Pedro's Inn deluxe room. The room was very clean and well-kept with a satellite tv, aircon, shower and a king size bed. Peter and the crew are the best and they also know practically everyone in San Pedro if you need any advice whilst staying. The Inn is a about 10-15min walk from the town and 3min from the nearest beach. Having visited about 40 countries, I have seen quite a few establishments ranging between 3-900 dollars per night. Pedro's Inn is great value for the bucks and I'll definitely stay there when I next head out to San Pedro. Last but not least, you can be sure they do have ice-cold Jaeger and pizza at Pedro's even when the other places in town run out.

I enjoyed pretty much everything about Pedro's. It wasn't super close to the beach, but the amount of money saved from not booking a beachfront hotel was well worth the 5 minute walk.. The owner was very friendly and straight forward with what we could expect. The beds were made and there were fresh towels everyday. The people working at the bar were also very pleasant and the pizza was amazing.

Overall I'd say that if you want to save some money and don't mind a short walk to the beach that Pedro's is a great place to stay.

Pedro's Inn is a must stay if you're heading to San Pedro. It's almost become a second home for me as well as many of the local ex-pats, and I'd make a special trip to Belize just to stay there (actually I have - twice!).

Peter, Walter, and the crew make everyone feel right at home - Peter is extremely affable, and the amazing Walter, well, you've got to meet Walter (ask to see his skydiving video, it's hilarious). Everyone will go out of their way to make sure you have a great time on the island.

If you're looking for five star luxury, please, go elsewhere. However, if you want to enjoy life to its fullest, meet new friends from all over the world, and enjoy some great beer and a few shots of Jagermeister with great people - this is definitely your place.

The rooms are spotless, the mattresses are soft, and the sheets are better than those I've slept on in the Venetian in Vegas. Consuelo will make your laundry look like new, too. Free Internet, WII and pool, and the some of the best pizza I've ever eaten (I recommend the meat lover's special with cilantro). You can't beat the price anywhere on the island, either, so what more can you ask for?

If you're headed to San Pedro, don't even think of staying elsewhere else. Pedro's Inn is the greatest!

Simply the worst place we have stayed in many months backpacking. Hot, stuffy, beyond tiny "rooms". Its a barn with thin plywood walls so you are 1/2 inch from the person/s in room next door. You will never sleep for. There are not even any electrical sockets to charge an ipod - owner is that tight. The owner constantly had his mates and cronies in the back room of the bar playing poker. As beers cost same in the pokey bar as in best bars in town I couldnt see any reason to be there after day one....its not like you were made to feel welcome in any way.. Seedy just doesnt cover it.

Owner was also charging different people different amounts and was not telling the truth. For example, he said we had got the last room on the phone.... but only if we booked for 7 days at an inflated price even though we only wanted 4. He made it sound like we had no choice and made us pay up front. Then the place was very clearly far from full when we arrived. Others we spoke to got even worse fleecing that us. In the end we left 3 days early despite having paid in advance.

I have travelled all over the world and stayed in lowest/basic/scumholes to 5 star and this place, and way it is run, left the nastiest taste in my mouth to date. Its truly beyond me how there are so many glowing reports. Everybody we spoke to who was there at the same time as us was equally unhappy.

Do yourself a favour - go elsewhere. Anywhere at all

We stayed at Pedro's for 3 days this past Febuary. It is a simple hostel, a little off the beaten path, but also half the price of any other place in town. 2 beds in the rooms we had, and a shared bath/shower, but I also believe they have rooms that are upgraded for a bit more$.

It has a bar downstairs, that often hosts charity poker tourneys, as well as other events....most pub crawls end up here at the end of the night, so just go upstairs to bed........not to mention has the best pizza I have ever had!! Definately get the shrimp pizza.

We couldn't have asked for a better host in the owner Peter!!! Very helpful and pleasant. He even came to see us off at the airport the day we left, and took us around town on his golf cart (main vehicles in San Pedro)

We would definately return to San Pedro, and most definately stay at Pedro's. Peter can also arrange dive trips, as he knows most of the tour operators in town.

If you are looking for pub crawls....we met some people there who organize them and you can find that info out at [-] .
