My sister and I just returned from a trip to Belize. It was the slow season, and we were a little concerned when we first got there about being able to do all of the diving , snorkeling, and cave tubing that we wanted to do. Then, we found Gerson and Amigos Jungle Tours and Amigos Dive Shop. He was an amazing travel coordinator for us, and he made it all happen! We got to do everything we wanted, and more! Our inland trip to Xunantunich and cave tubing was an adventure of a lifetime! Our tour guide, Carlos, was so warm and friendly and gave us so much information along the way. We even went across a river on a hand cranked one car ferry. He took us to lunch at Hode's in San Ignacio ( I think), and that turned out to be my favorite meal of our trip. The ruins were excellent, and you could see all the way into Guatemala from the top. The cave tubing included about a 45 minute walk through the jungle ( carrying an inner tube) , and it was wonderful too. Carlos told us about plants and animals all along the way. At the entrance to the cave , he had us take a nice relaxing swim before started our tubing trip, with headlights on our forehead, throught the cave. We hooked our tubes together, and he did all the work. It was beautiful, exciting, amazing, and we wanted it to go on and on! After the cave opened back up into the sunshine, we tubed for about 30 more minutes and saw a Toucan! I could go on and on. If my sister and I get to go back, and I hope that we will, we will definitely contact Gerson at Amigos Jungle Tours and Dive Shop.
