“Welcoming staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2012

This was a nice little "resort", I put resort in quotation marks because most of the resorts on the South/Central part of Ambergris Caye are not what most of us would think of a resort being. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful stay at the Seven Seas. The manager (Victor) and his family live in the back, and are very accomodating, laid-back, and friendly. The owner Bill comes by once a day on his boat.
I had a wonderful suite on the ground floor across the street (sand) from a dock and the Caribean sea.
Right next door is a wonderful beach bar called Wayo's, which I will review in a separate entry.
The pool is out back in a courtard flanked by all sorts of beautiful fauna. It only gets direct sun for a couple of hours per day because of its' courtyard location. It is a small pool, but considering that it was off-season I seemed to be the only person to use it.
The suite offered a fridge, stove, microwave and all cooking utensils. Bottled water (a big bottle) was included and readily available.
There are a few local stores right around the corner, very authentic residential stores offering fresh fruits and vegetables.
Town (San Pedro) is a bit of a travel, we rented a golf cart for our stay so it was easily accessible, as were the departure points for tours, ferries, etc.
The accommodation included airport transfer which was timely. We were greeted at the resort and helped to our rooms with our luggage.
They can organize outings for you at their front desk.
Every room had a nice big porch area, there were lots of good sitting spots including a hammock.
We felt very safe and secure at this place, thanks to the Manager and his family having a presence and keeping people off of the property that were trying to scam tourists.

I liked the resort and had a wonderful experience, but I think that if I go back to Ambergris Caye I would like to stay somewhere more central to the main park.

Room Tip: Ask for sea front.

We recently traveled to the Seven Seas Resort, near San Pedro, Belize right on the beach. There is a store and bar within walking distance. There is an excellent staff that assisted us with the amenities and services. I definitely go back.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Victor who offered to help us book with tours. We had room 2, ocean front view on the first floor. Wasn't sure if we got one of the upgraded rooms because we had a new refrigerator, microwave, AC. Everything else seemed pretty outdated. There was maid service daily and the sheets were changed every 2 days.

The location of the "resort" was great. We had our own dock so that our tour could pick us up via boat. It's also not too far from town - minute walk, 5-10 minutes if you golf cart it. We spent most of our days out so the interior - even though a little dated didn't matter. I do have to note that one day the water wasn't running at all (Victor said it was a town wide problem) so there wasn't any running water/plumbing water. It was fixed about 6-7 hours later. So do expect the unexpected when coming to Ambergris Caye. Speaking of, it rained a lot during the nights that we were here, making the water choppy. We were still able to do our snorkeling trips (the mornings were sunny) but I remember getting sea sick. And the bugs DO come out to feed after such storms -bring bug spray!

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room before he shows you your room

Just got back from a well needed vacation in San Pedro, our second time there.
This time we stayed at the Seven Seas and had an amazing time
The rennovations have truly given this place a new feel and the staff' s courtesy and friendliness is second to none.
We have found our place in paradise and the value is amazing.
We look forward to going back .. thanks for everything

Room Tip: take the dive package

We recently traveled to the Seven Seas Resort, near San Pedro, Belize. I had seen alot of old reviews and was a little nervous, but they assured me it had been remodled. When we arrrived we were not dissappointed, the rooms had all been remodeled with new Mahogonay furniture, new flat screens, new doors, paint, they seemed to have put some serious money in the place. It was just steps to the beach, and very relaxing. We went out snorkling with the Dive shop on site, and then relaxed most days at the beach. It even had great cable TV and free wifi, so I could watch my game back home.

We stayed there in Feb. 2011 for a week. I am not sure what qualifies it for a resort but there is absolutely nothing there. The pool is in a small courtyard that stays shaded and it is no bigger than some hot tubs. I will say the staff was very nice. The room was clean but the flooring was coming up and everything was very very old. The furniture was just wooden stuff and a worn out cushion on it, it actually hurt to sit on it. I went back to Ambergris a week later and stayed at the Sunbreeze and it was much much nicer and closer to resturants... and here is the kicker, it was cheaper!!!! It is in much need of simple upgrades such as new towels, linens, furniture, TV was a 13in that was fuzzy.
