All the coral types i've always looked for were here. Fish and rays were incredible. Easy snorkeling.

This spot is a must see while on San Pedro. Teaming with sea life this is a awesome place for snorkeling or SCUBA. You can do this along with shark ray alley.

“Well worth the visit to the turquoise waters”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

We signed up through Discovery Expeditions a snorkeling tour to Hol Chan and Shark Alley. Our crew was very informative and answered all of our marine animal questions. The clarity of the turquoise blue water was spectacular. The abundance of fish, rays, sea turtles and other sea life was excellent. You can snorkel or scuba dive here. A must activity when visiting the San Pedro area.

“Great for all levels of snorkelers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

I loved this snorkeling location.
Yes, it's pure herd mentality, as there are a quite a few other tourist boats there, with tons of groups of swimmers -- but we're all there to see the same thing.

Beautiful aquatic life and it's fairly shallow, so it's not nearly as intimidating as some other diving spots. I felt like I was in a filled aquarium, as we saw everything your heart could desire in our 45 min swim around the reserve. Tons of fish, eels, sea turtles gracefully swimming by us ... we even saw stingrays! It was awesome, and worth the trek out.
Even in the rain, the visibility was amazing - clear waters.

NOTE: Not a spot worth scuba diving in. You can see just as much (if not, even more!) being on the surface of the water.
