“Good people and great burgers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

If you are staying on the south end of the island or if you are not, you should visit this restaurant. Great burgers and the beer is reasonably priced. They have a projection screen TV for watching sports or whatever. Look around the place for all the sayings on the walls and beams.

Thanks for your review duhfus49. We're happy to hear you enjoyed watching TV on our big screen as well as reading the phrases on the walls of the restaurant. We actually get a lot of people taking photos and video of the sayings we have on the walls. They tend to put smiles on the faces of people who walk into the restaurant and read them. Sounds like they did the same for you!

“Keep Going Back!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

We have been in San Pedro for just over 2 weeks and have gone back to the Lone Star Grill at least four times either for late lunch or dinner. The food and service has always been excellent. The staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable. I am sure we will be going back before we leave San Pedro!

“Ripped Off”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

Ordered Shrimp Fajitas to share. Taste was OK. However, we had asked for another set of tortillas (2), guacamole (1 oz), sour cream (1 oz), beans (1/4 cup) and pico de gallo. We were charged $22 USD for this and they would not budge on the price. Very disappointed at their lack of flexibility and would definitely not recommend this place.

Hi Filisimitos thanks for dining at the Lone Star Grill & Cantina and thanks for your review, it's unfortunate you were not satisfied with the sides you received during your last visit to the restaurant. Although it is nice to hear that you enjoyed the Fajitas. The prices for our sides are listed on our menu. We were able to locate the invoice in question and you were charged for the following sides: 2 tortillas, side of guacamole, side of sour cream, side of borracha beans, side of pico de gallo and one side of cheese. On the bill the total cost for the sides was $23 Belize dollars which is equivalent to $11.50 USD. Just a reminder that $2 Belize = $1 USD. As the owners we would have been happy to work something out with you, unfortunately we weren't made aware of the situation at the time. The server did charge the menu prices as he should have. We have discussed this situation with our serving staff. They are now aware they should advise us, as the owners, if there are customers with any concerns in the restaurant. We hope that you will dine at the Lone Star in the future.

Regards

“Loved Lone Star Grill”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

We ate here for lunch and dinner several times throughout our vacation. Some nights just dropped in after dinner for a drink and desert. We are huge football fans and spent all day Sunday at Lone Star watching all the games. They have a very nice screened room (flys were NOT a problem here) with a huge projection screen where they play all types of sporting events. The owners, as well Hemie are very personable and care about their customers. They went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied. We tried the chicken fajitas (fabulous), chicken fingers (best ever), catch of the day - we caught our own fish and brought it to them to cook. Told them how we wanted it cooked and it was the best meal the entire week. If we ever go to Belize again will most certainly go back to Lone Star!

“Came in handy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

Our family of five arrived at the condo across the street and needed a place to eat. Overall service was good. Disappointed in some of the meals. The chicken quesadilla didn't compare to one we had at another restaurant and we found the shell of the taco salad and the wraps which came with the fajitas a bit greasy. The meat and vegetables which came with the fajitas were good. This is a sports bar as well as a restaurant and if you are looking for a place to watch a game during your holidays this would be a good spot.
