“Always great food at great prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

I have been going here since 2008 and it h as always been a great place to eat. They will even cook your catch if you are a fisherman. Good burgers, seafood and the best ceviche on the island!

“Slow Service, Check Your Bill”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

A local recommended this place, but she made the disclaimer that she owns the local newspaper and they advertise. The service was very slow, she brought the wrong cocktail, AND she charged me for a pitcher of margarita when I got one glass. (She rectified it.) Not impressed. I'd skip it and go to other places with nicer atmosphere, better food.

“El Divino? Sorta...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We stayed at the Banana Beach, to which El Divino is linked, so it was almost impossible NOT to eat there, and most of the time it was fine. The kitchen staff does a good job, and most of the servers were fine (Sean, especially). On occasion, when the "short, chunky guy" was on server duty, people not on his "favorite" list got ignored. (Yes, there are jerks even in Belize.) Banana Beach provides a breakfast coupon at El Divino for guests, but the selection is limited and servings not generous. But, if you're ok with limited choices in small servings, the b'fast was also fine. Does this review sound mixed? It is - mostly because of the short, chunky guy who was too full of himself, our impression of the restaurant is mixed. Management needs to spend some oversight time - or just put Sean in charge of the restaurant.

“Go elsewhere.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

My friends and I went here after dinner for dessert. We were greeted by a very flamboyant worker who took us to a strange red room with very uncomfortable couches. The desserts were average but we felt pressured to order alcohol. 2 out of 4 of us do not drink and staff kept asking why we didn't drink. Very uncomfortable. We will not go back.
