“Best Snorkeling in Belize at Mexico Rocks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

Our tour guide "Candyman" gave the best snorkeling tour I have had in BZ thus far. For $45 U.S. we snorkeled for 90 minutes in a large loop around Mexico Rocks, which was a 10 minute boat ride from the Tuff E'nuff dock at Coco Beach. WE stopped to take pictures at all of the conch-shell formations including a star, heart, smiley face, and the words Belize on the sea bottom. The best part of the tour was the amount of fish, and even though Mexico Rocks is not legally protected reserve like Hol Chan, there were 100s of Sergeant Major fish that followed us the entire time. Best tour guide and trip in Belize thus far!

“Fabulous group to go with”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

We went on two tours with them while staying at Coco Beach. They have a dock right next to the resort. We did a snorkeling adventure (thanks CandyMan and Dixon) to Hoi Chan and Shark /Ray Alley. It was awesome. I wish I would have done it twice. The guides really take care of everyone and make sure that you will have fun. The sharks are nothing to be afraid of so do this trip for sure. We also did a day trip (thanks Eli and Ali) to Xunantunic Mayan ruins, zip lining and cave tubing. It was a full day 12 hour excursion. They arrange everything: water taxi, flight to mainland, van and 2 great guides. We went in a group of 12 plus your guides. They have beer, coke and water in the van should you get thirsty. They will feed you a breakfast sandwich in San Pedro and a very good lunch after the Mayan ruins at the zip line/ cave tubing park. It was an excellent trip. The staff at Tuff E Nuff preaches have fun and be safe. They will take very good care of you for sure. We cannot thank them E Nuff.

“Fabulous, friendly & fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2014

We stayed at Corona del Mar and met Happy Man (Leroy) the first day we arrived. We realized shortly that he truly is happy all the time and loves his job. And he's good at it. He makes it look easy and carefree, but believe me, it's anything but.

We booked several tours with them, Hol Chan, Shark ray alley, Xunantunich, Mexico Rocks, cave tubing and the zoo. Each of them better than the next.

All the guys, Ali, Ariel, Billy, Candy Man, Flaco, Mission,Wilfred..and a few I'm sure I forgot, were amazing and made everything great fun. You're all so knowledgeable and proud of your country, very cool. A special shout out to Flaco for stopping the car and buying us a bag of fresh tamarind to nibble on our way to the zoo. Also thanks for the personal tour of the zoo. Seeing the animals being fed near closing time was amazing.(don't forget to buy the caretaker a beer for us!) Lucky Boy the black jaguar is such an impressive animal. I feel lucky to have met him and watch him be fed. WOW. Blew us away. Great zoo, great job they're doing there.

Candy man at Hol Chan and the way he carried the nurse sharks around like his toys so everyone could touch them was crazy. He also hand fed the rays and led them around by their mouths. Incredible experience. Not to be missed.

All in all, great bunch of guys. lots of different tours for all types of people. They made everything fun and we all learned about the area, flora/fauna and the attempts to keep everyone eco conscience.

Can't wait for my next trip there.
Happy Man, if you need two more people for your November 34th booking let us know!

Thanks everyone. Keep up the great work.

“Diving, Sunset Catamaran (a must!) and Water Taxi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

We stayed at Belizean Shores and booked diving, a sunset catamaran, and water taxi services through Tuff E Nuff. They were very good to work with and I strongly recommend using them if you're staying anywhere near Belizean Shores. They offer a nice discount if you pay for the services in advance. I do recommend that you bring "proof" of prepayment (copy of correspondence and credit card statement) because they don't appear to have the best record keeping.

Diving (local dives) - We booked two days of 2-tank dives and a Blue Hole dive through TEN. They guide their own local dives but place you with one of the other local dive shops for the Blue Hole dive. The local dives with AC (dive master) were some of the best that we've done for viewing coral and sea life. We saw many nurse sharks, a couple large moray eel, sea turtles, a reef shark, and a lot of fish. They have smaller groups (6 divers each day) and the dive schedule was exactly what we like for vacation (leave at 9:00 AM and back by noon). And having them right at the Belizean Shores pier was really convenient. I strongly recommend using TEN for local dives.

Diving (Blue Hole) - We booked our Blue Hole dive through TEN but ended up diving with Amigos Del Mar, a dive shop in San Pedro. Coordinating the Blue Hole dive was a little challenging because TEN isn't running the trip. We weren't able to schedule the dive for a certain day, and actually had to wait until late afternoon the day before the dive to know for sure that we were going the next day. We went through the "come back at 4:00 PM and we'll let you know if you're diving tomorrow" a couple of days so I think they probably only get to place their divers if there are openings for Blue Hole dives at the end of the day. Since the Blue Hole dive is a 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM excursion, we had to leave our schedule a little flexible. That said, we had a wonderful Blue Hole trip with Amigos Del Mar and would strongly recommend them for diving too. I would probably just book the Blue Hole trip directly through Amigos Del Mar (rather than try to coordinate through TEN) if I was doing it over again.

Sunset Catamaran Cruise - This is absolutely a must do if you're looking for a fun excursion. The boat leaves from the pier around 5:30 and travels north along the coast before anchoring to take in a beautiful sunset. They serve Belikin beer, rum punch, soda, and fresh ceviche that's prepared on the boat (and was probably the best that we had on our entire trip). Keep an eye out - we saw a small hammerhead shark during our cruise!

Boat Taxi - The TEN crews does a great job of maintaining their schedule and keeping their riders dry. It's a very easy and convenient way to get into town and I'd recommend doing the 5 day or week long pass if you're planning on making several trips. It's been said many times by others but it would be nice if they could add a few more trips to their schedule (hourly?).

Overall, TEN provided great service and everyone that we worked with was very friendly and professional.

“Super Fun Snorkel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2014

We had a great time with Ariel and Candy Man! These two were awesome on our afternoon snorkel trip to Hol Chan and Shark/Ray Alley. They were brave enough to snatch a couple of marine animals for us to take a closer look. They did this gently and with respect to the animal. We reserved the entire boat with 10 of us in our party. They picked us up at our dock. (super convenient). Beers, water and soft drinks were included on the trek back to condo. I would definitely look these two up next time I have the privilege to visit San Pedro. I would like to try the nighttime dive or snorkel next time.
