“Yummy treats”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

We had the cinnamon rolls, the coconut pies and oat cakes.....melt in your mouth treats! This is about 1.5 miles south of town. We were staying at Pelican Reef Villas and would ride our bikes to The Baker to get our daily treats....awesome.

“Sandwiches hit the spot !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

So glad we stumbled upon this place. Visited on a very rainy day when we needed a dry spot and a full stomach. Great sandwiches made while you wait with their fresh breads. Service was kind and excellent. Would totally make this my go to place for anything doughy and baked!

“Very hospitable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

Food and service were excellent. We had a tuna sandwich, ham sandwich, and peanut butter cookie. The bread was excellent. Very fresh. Looks like they are renovating and is on its way to being a gem. The meal was super inexpensive as well. Only US$8.25.

“Yummy cinnamon bread makes great French toast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

We bought the cinnamon bread - it didn't survive the trip home. We bought 2 more loaves and managed to save one to make french toast the following morning. Delicious!

“The charm of the Irish.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

When we arrived to San Pedro and were in the taxi going to our resort, I noticed this place. It is just to the north of The Banyan Bay Villas.
I had read some positive reviews and we walked over after settling in.
New owner Ken helped me make some choices and we chatted. I bought an oatmeal bread and several cinnamon rolls.
That bread actually lasted us all week. We used it for sandwiches and I toasted it. Excellent, chewy, tasty bread. The rolls were made the way I learned to make them years ago: rolled and heavy on the flavor and light on the frosting.
New owners Ken and Emily are Irish by birth and by graciousness. They bought the bakery in March and are , little by little, adding improvements. The facility was clean. A ceiling fan helps to circulate the air. The seating area is large enough for people to sit in comfy chairs and coffee is served mornings till 11. The array of breads provided include a lovely smelling foccaccia, monkey bread, coconut pies, brownies, peanut butter cookies, and more.
Clearly these new owners are working hard and are excited with what they are doing.
We wish them well. Check it out.
