“Biggest and Best Lobster Burrito on the Island, a Must Try!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

I absolutely loved the lobster burrito. Large enough for two, stuffed with fresh, lobster meat in a delicious sauce, garnished with huge chunks of lobster meat around the plate and topped with two grilled lobster tails, YUM!!!

Goes down even better with a cold beer!

“Best & Largest burritos on the island & great pupusas too!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

We found this little gem from our hotel staff they highly recommended this place & I'm glad we listened. Yes the service here is slow by American standards, but your on vacation & on island time so chill & have another cold Belikin. Come hungry because the portions are huge, especially the seafood burrito more than enough for two people. After 5:00 pm they have about a dozen varieties of papusas freshly made to order outside right in front of the restaurant. My favorite was the lobster papusa at only $3.50 USD! They also have plenty of vegetarian papusa options as well as vegetarian burritos. All the food on the menu was a great value. You need to try this place once to see for yourself!

“Hidden gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

The place looks like a hole in the wall, but they have pretty good tacos/burritos. Very affordable meals.

“Eat like a Local”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

While visiting Ambergris Caye, my wife and I really tried to find some of the spots that drew in the local crowd. Waruguma was one of those spots and for good reason. Known for their pupusas of any and all variety, the place was packed with both locals and tourists. My wife gorged ourselves by sharing 5 different types of the specialty of the house. Washed down with a couple of cold Belikins and we were ready to pop. Just a block off of Front St, Waruguma is really a must do when visiting San Pedro.

“Wow, a taste of Belize!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

This is a local family run business.. The food is awesome, with good varieties Belize, Mex, Seafood.. This is the kind of place most would walk right past and never consider. (Hole in the wall)... On middle street just south of Cigars, Rum, and Coffee same side of street.

Always busy, the service is very friendly, 2 boys waiting on 12-14 tables makes for slow service. But, relax and enjoy its worth the wait... $17.50us for awesome Lobster tail, wife enjoyed the fried shrimp. Next vist we tried the grouper also excellent a fest for under $50 including Belikens and tip..

Don't pace this one by...
