“Good food, not-so-good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

The ceviche was excellent as was the pasta w/pesto and shrimp curry. There was way too much food and the service was slow. It was the most expensive meal of our whole 3 week trip. However, we would go back again and give it another try.

“This place is truly a Hidden Treasure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2014 via mobile

My family dined here a few weeks ago, on a Sunday night. The restaurant was very easy to find, there are signs guiding you from the main road. It really is hidden back in a residential neighborhood. The restaurant is lovely, open air, with lots of beautiful woodwork and gauzy curtains and the like. Our server was attentive and offered suggestions for the kids, they don't have a kids menu, but the kitchen can accomodate their needs. We had a delicious spicy chicken appetizer with fruity sauce. We literally fought over the last piece. The kids devoured cesar salads, and chicken pasta. I had the jerk shrimp, which wasn't what I had pictured (I thought it would be grilled), it was great, nice spice and the shrimp were tender. My husband had fish which was fresh and well prepared. We shared chocolate cake and key lime pie. The pie was super, the cake was not bad. Suffice to say we ate it all. I felt like this restaurant combined Belizian flavors with more refined cooking techniques. This is definitely a fine dining place any standards. We will be back.

“Awesome treasure, seek this one out!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

Hidden Treasure is an appropriate name because it is hidden at the south end of town. The great part is they will pick you up and take you home for free, but do tip the driver. The ambiance of this restaurant is exactly what you would expect for a hidden garden gem, it's beautifully done inside and quaint, but doesn't feel cramped. Table cloths and the best all around service we've found so far in Belize. Our waiter Mariano was excellent, as was the entire staff. Pleasant, helpful and actually cheerful.
The food was top notch. We had the almond crusted grouper and my favorite, Mojarra a la Lamanai, fish cooked in a banana leaf. Cooked to perfection and not overpowered with sauces. The coconut pie was great, I had to eat the entire thing.
Pricing was very reasonable for the ambience, service and great food.
Did I mention they will pick you up and take you home.
Put this hidden treasure on our list to do.

“A real hidden treasure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2014

South of San Pedro, not on the water but a very nice place, fancier than other places on the island. Food is good, but portions are small and prices aren't.

“A great last night for our vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

We loved the ambiance of this "Hidden Treasure"! The conch soup, ceasar salad and bread were all very good. We also enjoyed our sangria, though the price was a bit high compared to the food. Everyone had fish for a entrée and each dish was outstanding. While we still dined outside it was a much more upscale restaurant than the others we had enjoyed.
