“Fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

After researching many places to stay on Ambergris, we settled on Bermuda Beach (C1) at The Landings. We made the perfect choice for our family of 3. The unit was comfortably furnished, clean and fully equipped plus, steps away from the pool which our 8 year old really enjoyed the ground floor access to. The pool was clean and I read many reviews about folks saying it was too cold but we found it perfectly refreshing! The view of the water from the units patio online is much closer in reality so we were really thrilled. The location of Landings was the perfect choice for us as we were away from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro Town but with easy access only 5 minutes away by cart.
We rented our cart for the full 10 days and it was worth it to zip back and forth. You will find supermarkets all over the Island and being a foodie I will say you need to go to a few different stores to gather supplies but that was half the fun! Casa Pan Dulce Bakery for breads and flan is excellent. Greenhouse on Main Street has some of the best produce in town (I had a hard time finding salad greens and avocados) This place has best selection at reasonable prices, they also have some great frozen seafood in the freezer section. Meat can be purchased from Linos Butcher but I found decent meat at the little market behind the landings, ground beef for burgers (sausage factory brand) along with nice deli ham. Over all, groceries are quite expensive but you learn to eat like the locals and buy the fresh tortillas which are cheap, fresh baked goods, canned salsa etc somewhat affordable.
Our top places to eat where - Elvis kitchen on Main Street - Amazing coconut shrimp and fish dishes, good quality chardonnay (I am picky and this was the only decent wine I could get at a restaurant on the Island - there is a wine shop see below for tips)
Blue Water Grill - Great breakfast
Ramones Village - good steak, terrible breakfast
Estels by the Sea - amazing breakfast (try the fry jacks! yum!!!)
Hidden Treasure - South of town, residential area, great ambience, romantic and quality lovely food, well worth a trip
Aji's - North of The Landings - Amazing outdoor setting with twinkling lights, great service, excellent menu... note you will need bug spray to dine at night,,, we got bitten alive
Palapa Bar - Great location just minutes north of The Landings, friendly staffm great conch and shrimp cerviche, decent white wine, awesome cocktails (Manango) fun to float around in the inner tubes.
Wine De Vine - Great little wine bar south of airport on Coconut Drive, good selection of American wines, along with Chilean and Argentina brands too. Great selection of cheeses and amazing fresh cheesecake (try the pina colada one)
Coco Locos Bar - in the complex itself is small, owners are friendly, pizzas are great but limited selection. White wine was terrible!

Things to do:
Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley an absolute must! So happy we snorkeled that day, it was a real once in a lifetime experience!
My hubby went on 7 dives during our stay, a couple of local reef dives which were fun and then a trip out to blue hole which was an all day adventure with 3 dives along the way. He really wanted to get down to Turneffe but none of the dive shops had enough divers interested to make the trip. We saw an abundance of sea life from green turtles, morays, sharks (reef and nurse) rays and colorful fish. If you love to snorkel and dive then Belize is the place for you! Susan and Roger can arrange all your tours which makes it effortless!
Boca Del Rio park, is a fun beach area that our son enjoyed swimming with the local kids, it's shallow, sandy and safe.
Drive up north in your cart for a wee adventure, although not much to see up there, we were in search of the Butterfly Farm at Rendevous Winery but I believe it is closed, as is the Blue Morpho Butterfly farm which was a must see in our Lonely Planet book, so that was the only disappointment of the trip.
The flight over from Belize City is an aventure in itself! very quick flight only 15 minutes and well worth it!
Weather was perfect, only rained once or twice during our stay but quickly cleared up, pack light and forget dressy clothes/shoes as you will end up in shorts, sundresses and flip flops the entire time! Roger and Susan were the perfect hosts as you will read from every review on here! Everything was taken care of in a friendly yet professional manner from our intial trip planning right up to the email thanking us for our visit upon our return home! Now that is service!!!!
We cannot wait to return!

We had an awesome family vacation down to Bermuda Landing. We split people up between two different condos but really congregated for meals and drinks and such in the bigger of the two. Basically the place was perfect for us activity oriented people. We spent most of our time out and about on boats and hiking the paths along the shore. The reason it was so great was completely rooted in the fact that Susan and Roger spoil you! They are kind, caring, get so much done to make your stay nice but still have an uncanny ability to stay scarce when needed. We loved the place and surely will return!!!

Very top notch place to stay!! The pictures on the website did not disappoint!! Susan and Roger made all of our reservations on the island which made everything go very smooth! I am already planning to visit again! The island is wonderful and laid back! The people are very pleasant and the food is amazing!!

Room Tip: I am sure whichever condo you choose will be awesome!!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Bermuda Landing and couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate it. To say that Roger and Susan are great is an understatement. They went above and beyond to make our vacation unbelizable!! Our condo was so neat and decorated perfect. Very relaxing. All of our needs were taken care of so quickly by Roger and Susan. I would recommend this resort to anyone. Perfect location, could drive downtown or walk as I did every morning. No doubt this is where we will be staying next time.

March 2013 my husband and I along with another couple, stayed for a week at Landings Tres Cocos in the Bermuda Beach complex. Our trip was great, and in comparison to other vacations. . . Susan & Roger made everything just so . . . "easy" :) We vacation out of Canada 2-3 times a year, so that is saying a lot.

We were met at the airport, transported to our condo, supplied with a vault of information of places to see, shop, eat, etc. Not to mention made to feel extremely welcome.

The location was terrific, just across the bridge on the north side of the island. It was easily within walking distance of the bridge however once we scouted a bit, we found our best option to get around and explore, was to rent a golf cart for the week. Most shops and restaurants were not within our comfortable walking range.

The condo was fantastic. Clean, comfortable and modern. . .mix that with the kindness of Susan, Roger and the other residents. . . in one word. . . awesome!!! We thoroughly enjoyed the week relaxing around the pool, as well as the ocean front, both just a few short steps from our little patio.

The only (and maybe irrelevant, depending on vacation preferences) issue for us, came to our attention on our last day, as many families were arriving for Easter break. The small pool and area around it, as nice as it is, does not really accommodate both relaxing adults vs children/teens. Love children, but there was little area to escape the Kaos lol. For families with children wanting to spend their days at the pool it may not be big enough for all to enjoy. (Again, depending on vacation preferences)

As a traveller, I myself like to have the information I need when planning to make our holiday the best it can be. I hope this review informs others so they too may plan the perfect holiday:)

A huge thank you to Susan and Roger (& Scruffy) for making our stay so great!

I highly recommend a stay at the Landings Tres Cocos, where they make you feel at home and welcome :)

My wife and I just spent 10 wonderful days at this lovely condo with my sister and her husband. I had read all the "reviews" on TA and everyone raved about Roger and Susan, they weren't kidding! Everything you could possibly worry about on a vacation was taken care of by R & S. Susan picked us up at the airport upon our arrival, Roger gave suggestions on different excursions and booked the ones we wanted to do. The condo was great, and I couldn't be more genuine when I tell you that Bermuda Landing #1 has the MOST COMFORTABLE BED I'VE EVER SLEPT ON!! My wife and I woke up feeling refreshed every day without even a hint of back pain (which I struggle with). We don't want to go back, WE WILL GO BACK!

It's so fun to read the reviews of people that were there the same time we were....just a week ago. Glad we all had such a good time! The only problem is that it doesn't let me add anything new. This was our second year in a row and we've already asked Susan to pencil us in for the same time in 2014 - that really says it all. I do want to thank Susan and Roger for making us feel so at home and to wish best of luck to the new Canadian owners of our next door beach bar Coco Locos. Steve and (another) Susan, are doing a great job and its always fun to chat up the locals and the expats down for their extended stays.

We also need to thank Abbie from GoFish Belize who helped Ron beat his permit fishing goal. He'd set his mind to catch 3, but even with high winds and clouds landed 5 in his 6 days of fishing! Happy guy!

We love it there.

Room Tip: Susan and Roger will have all the answers to make sure you make the right choice.
