Don't get me wrong, this hotel is nice, but it is a glorified Extended Stay type hotel. It is very different from other hotels I've stayed at. It has direct outside entrance to rooms in a courtyard type atmosphere. My room was in a particularly dark corner. I was in a ground level room which did not add to my sense of security. I could not tell if there were elevators but there were three floors and visible stairs. The room had a nice kitchenette but the TV's were old (CRT type). There were TV's both in sitting area and bedroom. Bathroom was cramped. I pray every week I do Priceline not to get this hotel. Much different than Northpoint.

Expected more. Hotel is outdated and run down. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Northpoint much nicer.

I visited my brother in Alpharetta and stayed in this hotel in a two room suite with other family members. We checked in late after a long drive and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even though it was 2 am in the morning. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds very comfortable. The full breakfast was great everyday (we stayed three days), and there were different items each day. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and plan on staying again when we are in town.

I stayed four night in late March 2008. This place has large rooms as is typical for Residence Inn. Everything in the room worked well.

A large number of families were staying there for an extended period. When I saw all the teenagers when I checked in, I was expecting a noisy, rowdy group. I soon discovered they were quiet and respectful, better behaved that many adults.

Breakfasts are great. With the exception of hotels that have a guy cooking omelets to order, this was the best complimentary breakfast I have seen with a wide variety of food.

Another plus of this hotel is the evening food spread Monday through Thursday late afternoons...pasta one night and grilled hamburgers and hot dogs another. Easily enough for dinner if you are on a tight budget or just don't want to go out.

The staff were all friendly, but their constant greetings seemed a tad forced. i.e., I'm saying hello because my manager said to.).

My only complaint was that a cigarette butt I saw on the outside stairs one day was still there three days later when I checked out. The hotel is totally nonsmoking, like all Marriotts.
