“Small Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Love this sushi place. Love that it is small and welcoming. Very clean. Lunch specials are really great. Feels like the small sushi places we used to frequent in the west Village of Manhattan years ago.

“A great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

The saki menu is good and has more variety than most around here. The sushi was excellent, very fresh and creative.

“Fresh, fresh, fresh”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2012

This is the BEST sushi place in North Atlanta. I have tried dozens of others and was about to call it quits until I tried Sushi Uchi. The service was great and the food was amazing. We tried 4-5 rolls and each one was better than the last, but the piece de resistance was the Ahi Tower. You MUST get this, it was out of this world. I have never had such fresh ahi and the combination of the sauces and caviar was unbelievable.

The prices were very fair, the saki seemed a little high but we tried 3 different kinds and they were all great. This place is worth a drive and even better if you live close, this has become a regular place for us.

“Great little sushi place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012 via mobile

This is a small sushi place in a not very busy strip mall. The 2people we saw working there were both nice in their way. The sushi chef did his job silently with no bravado. The server was ebulliently kind and glad to make suggestions. We tried a couple of the sakes and several of the rolls and it was a great meal and evening. It was a weekday and still there were people coming in, mostly for short times and never did it feel crowded or too busy or like we couldn't get the servers attention within a minute. I think you could have a good time here with family friends or couple. Nothing too fancy but great and clever combinations. The fruit plus fish combinations were memorable, like kiwi and mango being used. And one of them over potato chips too. Sunded odd but was fabulous.

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2012

Excellent creative sushi in a place most people would never find. The food is all excellent but make sure you ask the chef/waitress for recommendations (the crispy rice is a must if you like spicy tuna). If you go with your "standard" sushi choices, you will miss some of the best things at Sushi Uchi. A little pricey, but the food is truly amazing.
