In every city we have ever lived in we look for the little family owned, authentic Italian restaurant. It took us five years to find Casa Nuova and we have been eating here for seven years now. It is the most unassuming restaurant in Alpharetta. If you go on the weekends you must go early or have a reservation. The food is awesome, the specials are must haves. Many of the ingredients are grown in the owner's garden a few blocks away, really. The service is exceptional; they know their regulars (so unusual in Atlanta,) a couple of their waiters are so amazingly passionate it is a treat, Maria always stops by the table to say hello and checkin and then again to see if you want to finish the meal with an espresso or cappuccino, the entire staff is always clearing plates and filling drinks--- all swiftly because they are packed. The setting is exactly what an authentic Italian- family run restaurant would be. You step back in time a bit and certainly to another culture. We do lunch there as a date, dinner with friends and have even had our company Christmas party here.
