It looks like a Hampton Inn, but that's where it ends. From the outside access to the poor (and noisy) construction, it is a beast of a different color. My previously faultless online booking instructions (top floor, away from noise) were ignored (bottom floor at the stair well). I got the El Cheapo shutters with the inability to close the curtains, the smelly, sticky carpets, the incredibly slow wifi, the shower only with cold water turn-on as a wake up bonus, all included in the premium price. The complimentary breakfast hot food had run out at 08h00, "more coming" I was told, but had to go to work, sadly.
Later, the Coup De Grace: I needed a late checkout due to a business change and tried calling. Ring Ring. I arrived at the hotel and rushed into the foyer, to be greeted with... nobody. I loitered and eventually dialled again to be greeted by a receptionist whom I could hear but not see! I suggested stepping out into the lobby to deal with me, and presented my case. "Too late! It is 14h05, could have done it at 14h00!" I contemplated arguing but when a hotel has sunk so low that they make their poor reaction issues your problem, the battle is lost. Besides, I had already decided I would never frequent the place again and had enough flexibility to stay the night and call it the Final Curtain. So, in Albany GA, avoid this hotel. It is a mess, disorganized (no bill under the door, have to go down to the desk) and patently on the way out. AVOID!!! The cockroach in the bathroom could happen to anyone, I guess....
