“Louisiana soul in the the food and music but in Georgia!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

This town is out of the way for us Brits touring the US for a holiday, but if you happen to find yourself in the vicinity of Acworth make sure you visit Henry's! Great food and atmosphere and if you are lucky kick'in blues upstairs as well. Definitely try the crispy chilli alligator as an appetiser with your beer. You can tell it's good because they queue for a table out into the street, so go early!

“Have to try the shrimp 'n grits!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Henry's is definitely an Acworth gem! Great food and friendly staff. Henry himself is always around and you'll catch him wandering through the dining area checking on guests. He's a hoot, and a great, award winning chef. Be sure to try the shrimp 'n grits (they may be a little too spicy for kids though)!!

“Spot On Henry, spot on.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Henry's Louisiana Grill has it all together. From the first greeting by the hostess to the wait staff to the owner and chef Henry himself, this is one of only a very select few restaurants I would drive over an hour to eat again. My wife and I entered Henry's around 3:00 for a lunch / dinner meal. I had a cup of gumbo appetizer that raised the hair on my neck it was so much like a gumbo from a roadside mom and pop operation in LA. Yvonne had fried oysters that were grease free and crispy fried. She ordered the Bayou Cake, a shrimp and crawfish cake topped with a most excellent remoulade sauce and scallions. This was served along with cheese grits, thickly done, just the way mama did them. I choose the Étouffée of crawfish tails simmered with onions, peppers, sherry and tomatoes in a rich seafood sauce, served over rice. This is one time when the rice did not outweigh the Étouffée. The sweet spicy cornbread is to die for. The meals, while spicy, where not fire department needed spicy. Henry did not just throw cayenne, jalapeno, and chili pepper into a bowl. The spices hit different areas of the palate as they should. You can order different levels of spicy. Service was constant. The chef / owner Henry came through the dining room twice. We had two floor managers checking up on their customers experience and did not have to wait long for anything. Two glasses of wine, one bottle beer, the appetizers, the meals all came to $64.87. We will be returning to Henry's very soon. Those that follow my reviews, know I almost never give excellent ratings across the board, but I do at Henry's Louisiana Grill.

“Best New Orleans Food in Atlanta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Henry's Louisiana Grille in Acworth, Ga. Is truly a great eatery. Not only is the food real New Orleans Cajun style, Chef Henry is too! Had the best Hush Puppies I ever had. Entrees were great too. The Atchafalaya Catfish was superb--cream sauce and cheese grits excellent. My wife had the Bayou cakes--stuffed with mucho shrimp and crawfish-again excellent!. Bread pudding made a great dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant. Only one negative--noisy, but hard to talk when food is so good. Service was also very good. Kudos to Lonna and Joe. It was our 39th Wedding Anniversary and they made it special.

“Bring your entire family, and the neighbors too !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

This restaurant is just a 'must be there to believe' type of place. Located next to the CSX railroad tracks in downtown Acworth Georgia, but for sure on the 'right' side of the tracks. Be prepared to wait a while if you only come as a couple, most of the seating is configured for FAMILIES or large GROUPS. And after spending the night enjoying our meal and watching the real story of this unique eatery, you understand why it is packed with FAMILIES. Inside is just like the eateries in New Orleans; noisey, full of constant action, and very loud. The wait staff really enjoy their jobs, smiles on everyones face and they have a great happy attitude to them. Nothing ever went astray during our time in the bigger dinning room. Then comes the FOOD, I can not say enough of what a great New Orleans style of choices you have, we tryed five different items and my wife actually was estatic about her meal, which means it was super good.
And yes ACWORTH is a little bit out of the way, just take I-75 North to Hwy-92 - go towards downtown Acworth - whenyou pass the red caboose find a parking place (they are all over the area) and head to where the folks are all standing outside waaiting to go inside and your are there.
By the way, Chef HENRY is an award winner of a chef and the meals show it. Try his SPECIAL's - I did and I am going back at least once a month to try them all. And next time I will bring more folks with us and let them learn all about this great restaurant !!!
