Recently went to "The Alley" @ Aventura, where here-to-fore had always had a good meal and great service. But, we wanted to share our opinion of service 2 weeks ago Thurs p.m.
Rainy nite, business slower due to that!
Ordered a Caesar Salad declined the well-intentioned offer of anchovies, and received no Parmigiana, asked for it, received a granulated powder rather than the shaved parmigiana that was normally always served (in prior trips).
Secondly noticed distinct price increases from last visit.
Thirdly ordered the soup of the day which was Pumpkin, it was very thin, and lacking in flavor.
Truthfully, we were extremely disappointed....due to the economic situation we had saved the gift certificate, to be able to enjoy a special nite out! I am sure that our experience was just a "bump in the road"! But, "every nite is opening nite", and I hope that the experience that we had won't be indicative of future visits....
