Hunger and the call of nature came at the corner of Oak & S. Monroe, and low and behold Wheelers was right there... what a busy little spot. Only seating left was on a bar stool. It has been decades since we sat on those. However, we felt so welcome it was magnetic. The food, pan-fried trout and country chicken, took awhile to come, but it was definitely worth the wait... fresh'n hot. The chocolate vanilla pie brought out by the cook was superb... six customers waiting (see pic). The only downside.. toilets off back lane. We would go back in a heartbeat.
