“Very Nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2011

Very nice, clean rooms, beautifully decorated and the front desk was amazing. The bed was very comfortable which is a big deal for those of us with bad backs. I really liked the walk in shower and the kitchen was well stocked. I only used the coffee pot, but I did look around. I went next door to Papa Joe's and had a great meal.

This is a terrific place to stay and a great value. These are little condos that have all the utility of home and much of the comfort too. Many people have listed what the rooms have, but the rooms also have a DVD player and washer dryer combo. Perfect for when you are traveling on a motorcycle.

We loved our stay here - the view was spectacular and the screened porch couldn't be beat!

One caveat of our stay that has nothing to do with the hotel - if you do not eat oysters, do not expect to find good food in Apalachicola. Foods that are not oyster based are prepared with little care and lousy ingredients. Next time, I'll just get food from the Piggly Wiggly and make my own meals. You can certainly do that at this hotel.

While making a road trip through Apalachicola, we had the good fortune to stay at this lovely hotel. We selected this hotel using Trip Advisors reviews. We were not disappointed and will stay at this hotel anytime we're in Appalachicola.
This hotel is exceptionally clean with large, state of the art designed rooms.
Our standard room came with a small, modern kitchen; with large living and bedroom areas. In reality it is a large suite. It had hardwood floors, shutters, and nice furniture.
There were 2 flat screen TV's. I have a bad back, and the beds were very comfortable.
The hotel has no restaurant, however it is within easy walking distance of the famed, "old time Florida" downtown district with its nice selection of restaurants (one of the great oyster towns of the world) and quaint shops.
If you were in Europe this hotel would cost over a grand per night. It is hotel that has a quiet location, sits on the picture perfect river. Simply, it is a first class facility that is more than fairly priced for the quality you get.

I stayed here a few weeks ago, had never been to this part of Florida so had no idea what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised on all levels. My experience with the staff preceded my arrival. I phoned the hotel to get some particulars on the room and Nedra, the front desk manager, was amazing. Stayed on the phone patiently answering every question and by the end we were talking like old friends. During my three-night stay, Nedra and the rest of the staff were courteous, warm, and attentive. And I speak from experience when I say this doesn't always happen at hotels.

The room was spotless and had a great view...but what really counted was the human touch. It means a lot when you're on the road away from home. Thank You Nedra - I'll be back! If you don't believe me, check out the photo below of Nedra and a bouquet of flowers sent by an appreciative guest who thought she was top notch!

This was our first trip to Apalachicola. We were going for the Running for the Bay Marathon event. Chose this hotel from a list of area properties. Great choice. We were in Room 110, first floor, end unit. Our room had a standard bedroom, a smaller bedroom with daybed, two full baths, full kitchen (stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc) and living room. Two doors open from the living room and one from the bedroom onto a fabulous screened porch. Great place to read, watch the boats, spy alligators, or just chill. Was really nice to open the french doors and the windows to get a great breeze going through. Nice pool area as well. Would highly recommend this hotel.

One tip: You have to go to the front desk to obtain an internet cable for wired access (or borrow "the" router if it is available to set up your own wireless - which I did since we had two computers with us). You may want to bring your own cable just in case.

My wife and I stayed two nights for an anniversary surprise. The, spotless, modern and well appointed condos were a perfect balance to the rustic surroundings of the city. We loaded up with groceries and had leisurely meals on the screened in patio between sightseeing, shopping, and dining out once. If I had to find fault I would list that the wireless was spotty, the pool tiles needed a scrub, and they should consider a grill for the poolside to keep the smoke off of everyones patio. (The grill is on the dock.)The positives far surpassed those minor details and our stay was teriffic. This is a great place to go relax, with or without your boat. I would love to go back and stay again. The view was outstanding, the staff was friendly, the location is perfect!
